Sunset Room: Basics inside, beauty outside!

UNAIRCONDITIONED farmhouse is in a wooded and pastured area with wildlife 18 miles to downtown KC. Our family includes a horse, sheep, chickens and ducks. Three dogs and a cat patrol the property, outside and in. The upstairs queen bed and SHARED bath in this old, no-frills-home will appeal more to those who love nature than luxury! The space There is a desk with chair and a lamp, a bookcase-dresser and full-length mirror. Please note: Portable oil-filled heater available in winter. No A/C. Unlike as with hotels, we do not have cleaning crews and don't move everyone out so that guests can be welcomed into a spotless germ-free environment with view to the ocean or mountains. After discounting our fees/costs and spending a significant amount of time to provide you with an extremely budget-friendly travel alternative we are left with less than $1.50/hr. I believe I speak here for all hosts if we ask our guest to please keep this in mind when rating the Airbnb experience. We hosts depend on good ratings and truly work hard for it. No smoking of any kind on our property; including vapes, e-cigs, pipes, or cigars. There are 20 acres of woods with deer paths you can follow, and a seasonal stream and mostly year-round spring. The other room upstairs is another Airbnb listing, the Sunrise room. There is one bathroom for the two rooms, but if no one else is booked, no one else will be using it while you are here. Rooster crowings, guinea warnings, dog barks and sheep bleats could wake sound sleepers! House is old, floors are bare, creaky wood, stair treads were made for foot sizes of the 1850's! The original banister (railing) upstairs is really low and not meant to lean on. It is also missing one spindle. Please monitor toddlers and pets at all times around this! We are energy-conserving and conscious and therefore reserve the right to turn off fans, heaters and lights, etc. if you leave them on while gone. No other furniture in the room besides the bed and a desk, bookcase, chair.
