This memorable place is anything but ordinary. Once an art gallery, it was empty for years until a unique organization took over the space. Cross the Divide serves our nation’s veterans by providing adventures in our beautiful county. This home is now ready to give YOU that same experience! Set in town, the home boasts living and dining areas as well as a common area including 4 beds (one queen and 3 singles), TV, couch and a chair. Joseph is just steps outside the door! This was once an art gallery so the cabin consists of two large open areas. The two dining spaces, living area and fireplace area share the same space. The TV/Bedroom with 4 beds is also one large open room. The loft (with king bed) is set apart and above the living/dining area. We have 2 floor sleeping mats (twin sizes) and a rollaway (twin) that we can put out for parties larger than 7. We just ask that you pay an extra $25 per person per stay (not per night) and to let us know how many extra beds you’ll need us to put out. You’ll have access to the entire home We will be available throughout your stay. We live in the area The entire town of Joseph is within walking distance of the cabin. The sidewalk even connects to the walking path that leads all the way to the park at the foot of Wallowa Lake! You will need to walk or drive your own vehicle. Joseph does not have Uber, cabs, etc. There is free parking in front of the cabin along Main Street or free parking in the back of the cabin. Two twin beds in the bedroom/TV area are rollaway. The queen and the remaining twin are regular beds. If you have small children, please note that the king bed is upstairs and on the other side of the house from the twin beds. The shower stall in the bathroom is an unattached stall. Originally, the cabin was not used for living (remember, it was an art gallery) so a free standing shower stall was installed when it began its new life as a short term rental. Works great! We welcome dogs and feel this is a great space to accommodate them. There is room to set up crates. We provide two dog bowls for their use. Pls pick up any poop in the yard and place in the dumpster in the back. Pls crate your dog(s) when you are away from the cabin and need to leave them behind.
