Have fun with the whole family in this stylish place conveniently located near Downtown, Chipola College, and the M.E.R.E (travel ball families-complex 4.5 miles). Fielder’s Choice, a 1940s brick home, is a perfect mix of new and old and packed with fun and games inside and outside! Jackson County’s ecotourism is thriving; 9 bodies of water for fishing, paddling, and tubing; adventure trails-walking and horseback; and Caverns. The space Marianna has lots to offer visitors, whether you are a baseball/softball family in town for a weekend tournament, a family visiting their college student at Chipola, couples or singles in town for the springs or a visit to the brewery; and Fielder's Choice is ideal for any of these groups. Built in 1940, our charming brick cottage is filled with character that only time can bring. Nearly a century old and just as solid as before, with solid hardwood floors and a traditional red brick exterior with arched entrances. With hints of the past, Fielder's Choice has been brought to current day with mid-century modern decor. It is a perfect blend of old and new. One thing is for sure, no matter the reason you are visiting, we want to ensure that you are comfortable and have lots of FUN! We’ve tried to think of everything to make sure you have all the extras. Even if you need to do a little work during your stay, we’ve included a small desk in the master bedroom with a USB charger. The large master is designed to be a peaceful sanctuary with a king bed, large smart TV, and a master bathroom with his & hers vanities. The second bedroom is versatile. If you’re that travel ball family, 4 kids or 2 adults & 2 kids can sleep comfortably in this room with a bunk set and queen bed. Couples or singles, you can separate in the bunks or a couple share the queen. A full bath is located right outside the bedroom door for easy access. The living room includes a sofa that will lay flat into a twin bed and has a large smart TV for entertainment. The original fireplaces in the living room and master bedroom are cool aesthetics but are just for looks and not for use. We’ve made sure to include books and board games, kid and adult games, for spending the night in. In the dining area that connects the living room and the modernized kitchen, we’ve included a small bar cart with the tools necessary to make a great cocktail while playing said games. Inside the laundry room, play a few games of foosball on the standard-size foosball table for real fun. If outside is where you prefer to spend most of your time, the large fenced-in backyard will suit you. Comfortable outdoor furnishings are available on the deck so you can relax while you’re grilling out, or watching the kids and dogs run free in the yard or enjoying themselves playing outdoor games. Gather around the fire pit as night falls. Fielder’s Choice is conveniently located near downtown and Chipola Colege, offering easy access to the best local attractions. Southern Craft Creamery is within walking distance and offers some of the most mouthwatering, creative flavors of ice cream curated with milk from their family’s farm and other locally sourced ingredients. Unique, local family fun reverberates through Jackson County and is evident at Southern Fields Brewing Co., a family-friendly brewery offering various handcrafted beers in a 120-year-old restored bank building about 15 miles from our home. Travel ball families note that the house sleeps up to 7 and is only 4.5 miles away from the MERE complex, home to year-round ball tournaments. Chipola College’s athletic complex, where its nationally recognized baseball, softball and basketball programs compete, is less than a mile away. Ecotourism is thriving in Jackson County, home to 9 bodies of water, offering a multitude of adventures from fishing Lake Seminole, tubing Blue Springs and Bear Paw to a leisure paddle or the more advanced 51-mile Paddling Trail of the Chipola River, not to mention the mystique of the Marianna Caverns, or hitting one of the many trails either by foot or horseback.
