Villa Marguerite: b+b in historic green village

After running at B&B in Amsterdam since 1995 we started Villa Marguerite: a 19th-century villa located in the stunning village of Lunas. On the banks of the Gravezon River, this medieval village has a charm that only non touristic, hidden gems can offer. We are a local, artistic and organic B&B hosting you in an eclectic setting. Our rooms have modern comforts with all the authentic southern french charm. The space Your rooms will be located on the second floor of the house. There are two large rooms, that are excellant for bigger families, friends or two couples. Perfect for staying together-apart! The Large Family Room: This is our spacious bright room, perfect for a young family or friends. From the private lounge area, with library and wood-burning stove, you enter this cozy large room. The room overlooks the 16th century church of the village and in the morning the sun shines when you open the shutters. On the other side of the private lounge you will find the luxurious bathroom which is used both by you and the other guest room. Our B&B is ideal for larger groups who don't mind sharing a large spacious bathroom. Down the stairs is a second toilet. There is a small kitchen that provides the simple necessities for small meals and coffee and tea. The Romantic Poppy Room: This little gem of a room is our romantic poppy room with original hand painted wallpaper! The room is adjacent to the bathroom and small kitchen, You look out on a small part of the garden and can smell the fig trees in summer! On the other side of the private lounge you will find the family room, the bathroom and kitchen are shared by you and the other guest room. Our B&B is ideal for larger groups who don't mind sharing a large spacious bathroom. Down the stairs is a second toilet. There is a small kitchen that provides for the simple needs of small meals and coffee and tea. The wood stove provides a cozy atmosphere in the lounge where you have access to games and books. The spaces you share together: ✽ The Lounge ✽ The lounge is a beautiful space where you can sit by the woodfire, read books, enjoy meals together and play games. This space if only for your use ✽ The Kitchentte ✽ This small kitchennette will provide for all your small meal preps and coffees and teas. ✽ The Garden ✽ The garden is large lucious and wild! You share it with us but the size of it enables you to easily have a quiet moment with your morning coffee or a glass of wine at the end of the day. The house has a large garden and a historic terrace covering the total width of the villa. The garden is very private and has plenty of sun and shade facilitated by our 150 year old cedar! For the colder days we have a wood fire hot-tub that is amazing to look at the stars from at night. ✽ The Bathroom ✽ A large bathroom, ensuite to the Poppy room has a large powerful rain shower and toilet. Towels, organic shampoo and soaps are provided. A second seperated toilet is located at the bottom of the staircase. During your stay We live in the villa ourselves as well, we will see each other but also respect each others space. Most of the second floor is private and for your use only. We are always around for questions, tips for our favorite swimming, hiking, eating and drinking places. The best oysters at the beach and the most beautiful rivers. Other things to note Being surrounded by locals and not washed away by other tourists you stay on the GR compostella in a relaxing location submerged in nature. This historic and very green part of France facilitates the perfect conditions for a summer break. Big gorgeous and rivers are all around us so you will have plenty to choose from. And it is only an hour's drive to the mediterranean sea. In winter the house is a warm and cozy place to sit by the fire, read books and go relax in the woodier hotel in our garden. Any season here brings its versatile qualities and in our opinion, this landscape never disappoints. Lunas has 1 castle-restaurant, 1 cafe, 1 postoffice, 1 delicatesse shop for wine + croissants and small bites from the region. The local swimming pool is a 5 minute walk and bigger supermarkets are a 10 minute drive.
