Our charming bungalow allows you to relax, refresh and truly unwind while taking in views of the bay. ​ Enjoy amazing sunsets, lots of stars, and the water view from the 2nd story deck, private pier, or around the fire pit. Try crabbing or fishing from the pier. No license needed! A small local beach for swimming and public boat ramp are less than 5 minutes away. We are a little over an hour to Ocean City, Chincoteague, Assateague, and Blackwater Refuge. The space The Bungalow is a 900 sf, second floor guest quarter that features a spacious bedroom with a queen adjustable bed & massage feature, large dresser and closet space. The bath is accessible from the great room or bedroom and has a toilet, sink and walk in shower with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper, towels, and washcloths. There is also a small ironing board and iron in the bathroom for your use. An open floor plan provides a perfect space to watch TV, read, or work at the dedicated desk (with wi-fi internet access). The kitchenette has a counter with a small bar sink, microwave, 2 coffee makers, toaster oven, instant pot, blender, single burner cooktop, and a small dorm size refrigerator with small freezer. The couch is a queen sleeper sofa with a built in air mattress. There is a small grill on the deck. The private entry is on the 12 x 30 second story deck that overlooks the Tangier Sound and includes an area to eat outside or enjoy a glass of wine! Guest access Guests have access to the following features of the property. -Deck on 2nd floor where entrance is to the space. - Screened porch under the Bungalow deck. - Fire pit along the shoreline - 75 foot dock - Hammock (available on request) - Dedicated guest parking spot with sign to right of garage Nearby Access: BOAT RAMPS - Deal Island Harbor (1.5 miles) - Wenona Harbor (5.2 miles) - Dames Quarter Boat Ramp (4.2 miles) - St. Peter's Creek Boat Ramp (11 miles) Other things to note A few bits of information to make your stay enjoyable and surprise free. - ACCESSIBILITY: outside stairs required for access. Space is on the 2nd floor. - We are in a remote location. Gas and food are 20 minutes away in Princess Anne. Be sure to bring what you think you will need to reduce unnecessary trips. - We have friendly cats who enjoy the outdoors along with our guests. They would love to come in and visit but are not allowed inside. Ask us for cat treats. -You will need to bring your fishing/crabbing gear. Fishing and crabbing are permitted from the dock. -Deal Island is a watermen's community with a slow paced lifestyle making it an ideal place to ride your bike. - We prefer non-smokers/vapers but do allow guests to smoke/vape outside in designated areas. - We provide a Brita water pitcher for drinking water. Feel free to bring your own bottled water if you like. - There are four (4) security cameras on the property for your safety, however there is no surveillance in the Bungalow. - Your cell service may be limited if you do not have Verizon. You are able to make calls through the provided wi-fi internet connection.
