Description

We will be happy to welcome you to our Birken Chalet. Our chalet is about 35 square meters and can accommodate up to 3 people (but only a maximum of 2 adults). The chalet has a quaintly equipped kitchen with nostalgic wood stove, a cozy living and dining room, and a double bedroom. The bedroom leads directly onto the balcony. In the bathroom there is a toilet as well as a shower and a pine sauna. The space The chalet is located on the very quiet outskirts of Falkenfels. For shopping you will find a small Aunt Emma shop and a village shop with bakery and butcher. The Bavarian Forest offers many excursion destinations. In the immediate vicinity of our chalet, you can make wonderful walks, make extensive hikes, enjoy warm weather in the outdoor swimming pool in Mitterfels or Straubing or explore the beautiful surroundings by bike. You can safely store your bike in the adjacent barn. In bad weather, of course, we also have great bathrooms in the area, e.g. the Aquagur in Bad Kötzting with a thermarium, a fun pool and a large sauna world. In Dingolfing the Caprima in Deggendorf das Elypso and of course in Straubing the AQUAtherm. For day trips to the city, we recommend the traditional Straubing, the "northernmost city in Italy" Regensburg or the Dreiflüssestadt Passau. Whether nature or city, cozy or adventurous – with us you will certainly not be bored! Here are some of our tips for leisure activities: Hike to our local mountain the "Büscherl" or in the Höllbachtal, One of the most beautiful hiking destinations in the immediate vicinity is the Höllbachtal nature reserve between Brennberg and Rettenbach. With the mighty stone chunks, the nature reserve fascinates with rough and unspoiled nature. The hiking trail is easy to walk and therefore ideal for a family trip. From the nearby Brennberg, the "Zuweg Goldsteig" – No. 26 leads directly to the Höllbachtal. Walhalla A few kilometers from the gate of the beautiful Regensburg, the imposing structure perched above the Danube, with which King Ludwig I is artfully realized – Die Walhalla. The Bavarian king commissioned one of the most important architects of Classicism Leo von Klenze to build this glory and honorary hall, which was solemnly opened by King Ludwig I after 12 years of construction on October 18, 1842 by King Ludwig I. With the idea of growing a place of honor, today there are marble skins and commemorative tables on famous German-speaking people in the halls of the Valhalla such as Heinrich Heine, Martin Luther or Albrecht Dürer. But even the overwhelming view of the stairs of the Walhalla area of the Regensburg area is already worth a visit. Waldwipfelweg Maibrunn Schwindelfrei? Then you can take a walk in an airy height over the peaks of the trees in Maibrunn and enjoy an impressive view over the heights of the Bavarian Forest, the Danube Valley and the plains of the guest floor. Here you can experience the wonder world of forest from a completely new perspective. The tip of the feelings is up to 30 meters high and accessible. In addition to the Waldwipfelweg, a nature adventure trail, the path of the Optical phenomena with a sensory cave, and the Bavarian's unique house on its head create an exciting experience for the whole family. Treetop path Neuschönau A real landmark of the Bavarian Forest is certainly the impressive tree tower in Neuschönau. A 1300-meter jetty above the treetops flows into the platform of this remarkable tree tower at height of 44 meters. The treetop trail allows you to take a breathtaking walk 8 to 25 meters above the forest floor with a unique perspective on the treetops of the Bavarian Forest. At the highest point, a fantastic view of the mountain and wilderness of the Bavarian Forest up to the Alps awaits you. Oberpfälzer Freilandmuseum In the Oberpfälzer Freilandmuseum in Neusath-Perschen in the district of Schwandorf, you will experience an exciting and informative journey back in time to live and work in the Upper Palatinate in the last 300 years. The buildings rebuilt in Museum 50 will help you get to know the construction, living, and economy in the regional and social diversity of the Upper Palatinate regions. In addition, the museum offers an extensive exhibition, event and guidance program for a very special experience for the whole family. The Freilandmuseum is about 60 kilometers away from Nabburg and can be reached quickly from Regensburg on the A93. Falkenhof Schloss Rosenburg Die Rosenburg near Riedenburg houses a Falkenhof where you can experience the fascination of free-flying birds of prey. Twice a day at 11 am and at 3 pm, except on Mondays, the birds of prey show their flight skills in front of the picturesque backdrop of the medieval castle valley. This stunning spectacle inspires all ages, all ages! In addition, there is a castle museum at the castle and the opportunity to get to know the birds of prey from the flocks of the prey up close by. Weinfurtner - The glass village Around in the middle of the glass road – the most important glass region in Germany – lies the town of Arnbruck with its millennial settlement history. The Glasdorf enchants its guests with exciting glass artwork between tradition and innovation.
