Description

An ideal base camp for climbing Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park, this cabin is located on a paved 10-mile trail from Glen Arbor to Empire that meanders through peaceful wooded dunes to the lakes and stunningly scenic hikes. Quaint pubs are 5 minutes drive away. Public access on Little Glen 1 mile away and Lake Michigan 2 miles. The space This rustic cabin feels like a cozy retreat back in time, but with modern amenities to add comfort, including fast wi-fi, new beds, and a large TV. The first floor has a kitchen facing a screened-in porch and deck, a living room/dining area, a half bath, and a den with a pull out twin bed. The upstairs has a full bath, two bedrooms with queen beds, and a bonus area with a daybed that pulls out into two twin beds. Enjoy the view of Little Glen Lake through the trees from your porch. (There is no direct water access, only water views.). Note the fireplace is a gas insert and there is no cable, just the option to log into your streaming services through a FireStick. Guest access The house has a large gravel lot with plenty of parking for your vehicle and watercraft. Other things to note This cabin is located near Glen Lake but it is the "second row" of cottages back from the lake. There is a public park 1 mile down the road. Please also note that this is an older cabin - lots of charm, but not much soundproofing, and the stairs and doorways are small and narrow. It might not be the best option for people with difficult going up and down stairs.
