Other things to note If you want to get away from the biggest tourist crowds at Reine, Å is a fantastic starting point for enjoying a quiet setting and experiencing the best of Vest-Lofoten. From here it is a half hour drive to the popular hike Ryten and Kvalvikstranda, as well as Rambergstranda and Flakstadstranda for surfing. The same goes for Nusfjord, which is one of Norway's oldest and best preserved fishing village. If you drive to Reine, you can take a boat to walk to Bunesstranda and Helvetstind.
