Within walking distance to Bear Brook State Park. 40-minute drive to Portsmouth, Manchester, and Lake Winnepasakee. One hour away from the New Hampshire White Mountains and Boston. The space There are kayaks and inner tubes for use, with easy access to the Suncook River. The property has ample space, both wooded and cleared, for camping and can accommodate many more guests via primitive camping. Special arrangements would need to be made with the host in advance. Guest access The property is large, and some areas should be avoided. Poison Ivy, oak, and sumac are present in some areas, and numerous patches of berry bushes (thorns), concord grape vines, and other obstacles can create an unpleasant adventure. Please don't pass the outbuilding at the bottom of the hill without having a discussion with the host. Other things to note There is a fire pit on the property, and guests are welcome to use it during the proper conditions. No fires are allowed during times when a "red flag" warning is issued. Firewood is not provided. Your host can help you find firewood for the fire pit locally and sometimes, even on the property. Please do not venture into the woods to gather wood for the fire pit without speaking to the host first. Agreements with neighbors and boundary lines may exist that you are unaware of. The wood in the woodshed is not for the fire pit. This is the only winter heating source for the house. There is no need to empty the ashes in the fire pit (or the inside woodstove ) before you depart at the end of your visit. The host will handle them.
