Yucca Bay Korcula

The house is located in Croatia, on the island of Korcula, between Prigradica and Vela Luka, surrounded by Mediterranean forests and olive groves. The house is located directly in a hidden, almost private, beautiful, crystal clear bay. In the bay, there are 2 houses besides ours, one has been uninhabited for years, the other (60 meters from us) is occasionally occupied by the owner. The private space and environment, the tranquility is thus given. 90 percent of the shore and water is just for our pleasure. Sunny shore from 9 am to 6 pm. The space The house consists of three apartments, two of which are rented out, the third, lower level is kept as a storage. So the whole house is for the guests, there are no other guests in the house. Our caretaker, Hrvoje, lives a few kilometers from the house. Upper level 2 rooms, two bathrooms, large living room-kitchen-dining room, huge 25 m2 terrace with beautiful panorama. The bedrooms have 180x200 double beds. Middle level 3 rooms, two bathrooms, large kitchen-dining room, huge 25 m2 beautiful panoramic terrace. Two bedrooms are furnished with 180x200 double beds, one room with 2 90x200 beds. From the terraces you can see the bay, the open water, the island of Hvar, with the mountains of the mainland in the background. We can accommodate 10 people comfortably. The terraced hillside planted with local plants around the house creates a real Mediterranean atmosphere. There is a Croatian-style oven built on one of the terraces. It can be used for pizza baking, charcoal grilling, Dutch oven, Croatian peka baking, cooking. While snorkeling in the bay, we encounter schools of fish consisting of hundreds of individuals. The fish can almost be touched by hand, they swim about 10 centimeters away from our hands. Their size varies from two centimeters to 30 centimeters. At least 10-15 species of fish are permanently resident in the bay. In addition to fish, crabs, hermit crabs, glass shrimp, and starfish can be observed in the shallows. The lucky ones can even see a swimming, hunting dolphin school from the terraces. There are no dangerous creatures. We swim without slippers, occasionally seeing a sea urchin. Guest access The house has its own parking lot that can accommodate 4-5 cars. The property has good-tasting municipal tap water. The power supply is provided by an island solar panel system. Although the system is massive, it takes the huge, new Samsung combi refrigerators, boilers, lighting, laptops, phone charging, especially in sunless weather, the use of air conditioners and hair dryers requires attention. We recommend the property primarily for larger groups of friends and larger families. The place is not particularly child-friendly, children over 8-10 years old can already have fun and handle the stairs well. The property is not accessible, has many stairs, so it is not suitable for people with disabilities or limited mobility.
