Cosmico is our special retreat in Healdsburg on Mill Creek - experience this unique cabin that we restored nestled in the redwoods by the creek. Instantly feel like you are far away from it all, surrounded by nature, and yet only 7 minutes to downtown Healdsburg with world class restaurants, wineries and all that Sonoma County has to offer. Furnished with vintage pieces, luxury linens and an extensive record collection this is your dream getaway. The space This cabin in the redwood grove sits right along Mill Creek, which feeds the Russian River and runs year round. Between May and September the creek is wonderful way to stay cool, and there is a swimming hole on the creek steps from the house. We love the contrasting colors of the sky and the green of the redwoods - during the day the sky is the bluest of blue, and at night the stars are right at your fingertips with no light pollution at all. We designed the day bed on the deck because we spent the summer we were renovating the house sleeping outside under the stars on a futon - you can do the same on the daybed if you choose. We love the Healdsburg area with access to world-class cycling, wine-tasting, culinary delights and more. Inside the house in the redwood paneled living room you can settle in with a glass of wine and listen to records on the vintage Marantz stereo and record player (careful please). 1000s of records means there will be somethng you love to listen to! We feel so unplugged when we visit this part of the world, and though wifi is available, the best screen time is outside staring at the redwoods and watching the birds and ducks in the creek. But if you need some wifi, ours is super fast - we just installed dedicated fiber. Main House: - 1 master bedroom w. king bed and ensuite full bathroom - 1 kids room with crib & daybed and ensuite full bathroom Bure (Detached Guest House): - Studio suite with queen bed and ensuite bathroom & outdoor shower We also offer a Peloton, Weights, and a Pilates Reformer. We hope you'll enjoy our home as much as we do. Guest access You'll have exclusive access to the house, which is very private and nestled into the redwood grove. There is a house next door and access to the swimming hole is shared between the two properties. Other things to note EVENTS We have a vacation rental permit but not an event permit so weddings are not permitted on the property. You may have guests over for small gatherings as long as they are in accordance with the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Permit. FIRE SEASON As you may be aware, Sonoma County does have a fire season in the fall, and this may impact your stay. After consideration, we are following the policy that other vacation rentals and hotels have in the area. If our house in Healdsburg is under mandatory evacuation order, we will offer a full refund. If our house is not under mandatory evacuation, then we do not offer refunds. We have a generator, and generally the house is in a valley that has much better air quality during fires in the region. Because of this policy, we strongly encourage you to add insurance to your stay so that if you need to cancel you are able to get a refund from the travel insurance provider.
