The roads and driveway are kept clear of snow in the winter, but we recommend 4-wheel drive and/or winter tires for any guests visiting during the wintertime. Our cabin is professionally cleaned after each stay. Our cleaning service is all inclusive and will take care of garbage removal and all cleaning. Unlike other rentals we will NOT be asking you to take your garbage to the landfill, and we will NOT have a list of cleaning tasks for you to do before check-out. Our main goal is for you to have all the time to enjoy your vacation and we want your check-in and check-out to be easy and hassle free! Snowmobiling: Winter-time is the perfect time to rent snowmobiles! We provide them at a discounted rate on our website. The discount code will be sent to you once the booking is confirmed. Please make your booking and you can pick up the snowmobiles at our central location near all of the trails. ATV/UTV Tours: We also provide ATV/UTV tours. Since you are staying at the Airbnb, you can book with us directly at a price of $160 per person. Just send a quick message and we can set it up. The closest ski resort is Big Sky Resort in Montana, just about an hour’s drive from the cabin. Many guests also enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing right here in Island Park or at Harriman State Park, which offers beautiful, groomed trails in a peaceful setting. We’re also about 2 hours from Jackson Hole and Grand Targhee — giving you access to three of the best ski resorts in the country, all offering world-class terrain and stunning mountain views. However, be aware that during winter months this area can get a very large amount of snow (1 foot in 24 hours which is exacerbated by drifts due to strong winds) in a short period of time and even though we do our absolute best to plow the roads the crews can be overwhelmed during such times. If you plan to bring trailers then bring them at your own risk. We do not guarantee we can accommodate such a large trailer during winter storms. Please note that the location is at an elevation of 7,000 ft, where weather conditions can be unpredictable and snowfall may occur at any time of the year. We recommend arriving well-prepared for changing weather conditions. Please note that the cabin is located in a natural forested setting and shares its environment with local wildlife. A professional pest control service is used regularly; however, occasional sightings of insects or small animals may occur. These are a normal part of staying in a wooded, rural area and do not qualify for refunds. Prior to arrival, guests will be asked to review and agree to a separate rental agreement outlining these details to ensure clear expectations for a smooth and enjoyable stay. The properties are surrounded by meadows which can at times grow to be tall. If you expect Kentucky Bluegrass at all times around the property, we may not be the best choice for you. Thank you so much. Your hot tub and/or BBQ will be maintained weekly. A person will be at the property to do the maintenance. We cannot modify the scheduled time since we are in a rural area and attend to the hot tubs on a somewhat changing schedule. Please consider this fact as you book. Please note that our home is located in a rural area, where summers are typically dry and dusty. It is very common to have dust, debris and cobwebs on the decks and outside areas in spite of our efforts. Also fire pits may not be usable due to fire restrictions. Also road and other constructions are passable in neighboring properties and we cannot control what neighbors or county do on theirs lots and properties. The outside of the cabin maybe be different from the depicted photos based on the season, sunset and more. This is a high altitude and forested area and the landscape changes immensely from season to season. This is not a city dueling, and as such the meadows and landscaping around the cabin will change throughout the season. We ask you to take note of this before booking.
