A very cosy home, in a quiet area of the city, with a garden where you can relax and enjoy the long summer evenings in Norway. In winter you are close to many ski locations and even an indoor downhill ski/snowboard experience. Need som cat love? Our pet cat Fabian will be happy to cuddle! You will find everything you need for a perfect stay in Oslo. With a 10-15 minute walk you can easily access the city center with bus, train and metro. Driving with the car takes 10-15 minutes to the centre. The space Your bedroom has a double sized bed (140x200), a bedside table with a lamp, a desk and chair. You share the common living spaces with either your hosts Suzanne and Madeleine and/or other airbnb guests. Guest access Your will be able to access 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 living room, 1 dining area and the hallways, in addition to our balconies. During your stay We are delighted to host you during your stay, and we want to ensure that your experience is both enjoyable and comfortable. While we cherish your presence, we want to be transparent about our hosting style. Interaction with Guests: We understand that every traveler has their own preferences for privacy and engagement. This is the same for us as hosts. Respectful of your space, and ours, we typically do not spend time with guests, allowing you to unwind and make the most of your time in a cozy and private setting. Communication: Rest assured, even though we won't be spending time together, we are committed to being available and responsive to any needs or inquiries you may have during your stay. You can reach us through the Airbnb messaging platform, and face to face if we are home. We'll do our best to promptly address any questions or concerns. Your comfort and peace of mind are our top priorities, and we want you to feel at home while maintaining the level of privacy. Other things to note CLEANING To maintain a welcoming and cost-effective environment, we operate with no cleaning fee. By booking, you agree to take on the responsibility of cleaning. Depending on the timing of your booking, your cleaning duties may vary. Your host will specify whether you're responsible for cleaning at the start of your stay after the previous guests or at the end of your stay to prepare the home for the next guests. Your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines is crucial for maintaining a pleasant atmosphere for all. FABIAN THE CAT Upon booking, you agree to take responsibility for Fabian's well-being if we happen to be away during your stay. Your role therefore involves letting him in and out of the house to access food, water, and fresh air. He has an automatic cat feeder and does all his smelly buisness outside (so you have nothing to clean). Apart from letting him in and out of the house when he wants, you only need to change his water. Special Note for New Year's Eve Bookings (December 31st): If your stay includes New Year's Eve, the responsibility of caring for Fabian becomes a bit more demanding. It's crucial for Fabian's well-being that he stays indoors throughout the entire day, evening, and night. This might be challenging, as Fabian is an outdoor enthusiast and will likely express a strong desire to go outside. Please be prepared for some persistent door-scratching. Why Indoor on New Year's Eve? New Year's Eve brings fireworks, and Fabian's safety is our top priority. Being outside during this time can be traumatic for him, and there's a risk of injury due to fireworks. *Fabian's well-being is of utmost importance to us, and we want both our guests and Fabian to have a positive experience. If you have any reservations or concerns about fulfilling the responsibilities outlined, we kindly recommend considering alternative accommodations that better suit your comfort level. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring Fabian has a safe end of the year. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out. ELECTRICITY -There is an electricity crisis in europe right now and with the freezing temperatures in Norway the electricity is now super expensive. You are therefore expected to be cautious and reflected with your electricity consumption. If you can turn off lights and turn down heat when not in the room this would be great. -Guests exceeding the daily limit of 25kWh may incur charges for the additional consumption. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining an energy-efficient environment. FIRE PLACE -If you're looking to add a touch of coziness to your stay, our fireplace is at your disposal. However, please note that to enjoy the flickering flames, you'll need to purchase your own wood. Fear not! Securing wood is a breeze. Local stores such as Coop Obs, Coop Extra, and even nearby petrol stations stock firewood for your convenience. Feel free to set the mood and create a warm atmosphere by lighting the fireplace during your stay. It's a perfect way to add that extra touch to your experience. We kindly ask that the fireplace only be used by those with prior experience in handling fireplaces.
