Our lakefront South Salem home sits on an acre of land on Lake Kitchawan - one of the few spring fed lakes in the region. There are 3 bedrooms (one in a poolhouse separate from the main house), 4 beds, 2 full bathrooms, & 2 fireplaces. The house is best described as rustic chic with vintage furniture and original works of art. There's an in-ground heated pool w/spa (heating charged at cost), private dock, gas BBQ and al fresco dining on the lake facing front porch with beautiful sunset views. The space The property is in a quiet lake community and sits on two lots separated by a narrow quiet country road. The lakefront lot features the private swimming and boat dock. The other lot contains the main house with lakeview porch and outdoor dining table, in-ground heated pool (heating is charged separately) with spa, a pool-house with bedroom, a garage with large washer and dryer, outdoor gas BBQ, and fenced in and large back and front yards which will keep most (but not all) dogs from escaping. Lake Kitchawan hosts a family of swans, and plenty of lake wildlife such as ducks, geese, frogs, lake bass fish and the occasional crane. The fishing is very good. The Summer evening air is punctuated by the sounds of frogs and ducks while the winters are very peaceful and quiet. It's really a great place to host gatherings of friends and family (but please no loud parties) or to enjoy a quiet retreat from the City. The kitchen - open to the dining room - is well equipped with everything you'd expect including new amenities and appliances: double oven and induction stove, dishwasher, large microwave/toaster oven/air fryer, juice blender, filter coffee maker, espresso machine (nespresso), bean grinder, etc. Staples such as oils, vinegars, salt, sugar, spices, water, dish/hand soap, paper towels, trash bags and so on are also supplied. The house includes well planned space, with a living room, a lakeview den with comfortable sleeper sofa (double bed) and pocket door to create privacy, a light and airy poolside den with french sliding doors leading directly into the pool and BBQ area, small dining room open to the kitchen and poolside den, a living room with fireplace, and 3 bedrooms: Master Bedroom with King Bed, stone fireplace, vaulted wood beamed ceiling and ensuite bathroom and clawfoot tub, Guest Bedroom with Queen Bed just across the hallway from the full guest bathroom, and a Poolhouse Bedroom in a separate poolhouse with a Double Bed. Note: poolhouse guests use the guest bathroom in the main house. In total there are 4 beds, including the sleeper sofa bed.
