Beach Cottage is a spacious and comfortable self catering holiday home, with truly spectacular sea and beach views. Located in the tiny historic fishing village of Sandend, it’s set right on the stunning golden sandy beach in this beautiful north-east corner of Scotland. If you are looking for relaxation in a beach front setting, the opportunity to surf and enjoy watersports, or a comfortable family beach holiday, then this is it! Sandend is a fantastic destination at any time of the year. The space Beach Cottage is one of the few self catering properties in Scotland that genuinely just a few steps from the beach, with fantastic views out over the sea and bay. We are a detached modern single storey holiday home, sitting in an elevated position with 8 steps up to the property. We may not look much from the outside but inside it’s modernised, well laid out, light and airy accommodation with a spacious king size bedroom along with a good sized twin room. The bright and sunny living room has a large bay window looking out over the beach and bay, with a smart TV with FreeSat, and fibre from the cabinet wifi. A well equipped fitted kitchen with a dining area, a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, and both an under counter fridge and a large fridge freezer. The pretty bathroom has a bath with shower over it. Well insulated, with an open fire and a new boiler fitted in 2021 we are warm and welcoming for winter breaks as well as being a wonderful location for summer beach holidays. Dog and child friendly, we have an enclosed safe garden on two levels with seating areas on the rear decking and on the front patio allowing you to relax and enjoy the views. Beach Cottage is strictly non-smoking or vaping. We welcome one well behaved dog over 12 months old on a “paws on the floor” basis (i.e. anywhere in the property but not on the beds or furniture please). We often accept two dogs, depending on size and who else is staying (please ask). For families with young children we have a travel cot, high chair, a tub of plastic crockery and cutlery and a step stool. Beach Cottage is a member of the Association of Scottish Self Caterers and its commitment to quality scheme. All 5* reviews to date. We hold an STL Licence from Aberdeenshire Council ( Ref STL/00442-F) and our EPC Rating is D. Sandend is a pretty conservation village, with a surf school on one of the best surfing beaches in Scotland. Rockpooling, crabbing from the harbour, the coastal footpath, ruined castles, whisky distilleries and much more! Please note that although Beach Cottage is all on one level, due to the steps up to the cottage it is not fully accessible. Guest access Guests rent the entire property. Other things to note Nov - Mar a starter pack of logs for the fire is provided. Apr - Oct our minimum stay is usually 7 nights with a Saturday changeover / start date.
