The Hideaway is the perfect retreat from which to explore historic Pin Mill and the Shotley Peninsula, unwind with beautiful walks, bird watching and good food at the local pub or find a quiet workspace within a private garden surrounded by wildlife. The Hideaway is set across a private road from the main house and is 150m from the River Orwell. Walks in the AONB and National Trust-owned woods and heathland are on your doorstep. The Butt & Oyster pub is a few minutes walk away. The space The Hideaway is bedroom, sitting room and small kitchen all in one, with an ensuite shower room. It is self contained with parking and has its own sitting area in the garden outside the front door. There is no television or radio, but we provide fast wifi and mobile signal is good. Your dog is welcome but please note that the garden is not fully enclosed. Guest access Guests can park on the gravel driveway and use the garden and small woodland area in front of The Hideaway. Parking is for one vehicle only. There is a torch in the porch to help you get into the property on dark winter nights and mornings. Other things to note The Hideaway kitchen is equipped with a fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave. Tea and coffee making facilities are also available. Guests can choose between a king size bed or two singles. A king size bed is available by default. Please let us know if you would prefer the 2 single bed options when you book. Thank you! Pets are welcome but due to the size of the property we ask that dogs are limited to one only and, if possible, not on the bed. There are outside facilities for washing muddy paws if needed - please feel free to use the yellow hose on the side wall of the garage. A dog towel is hanging in the porch. The garden is not enclosed. There is a clothes airer for drying coats etc out after rainy days out. There is a well stocked local shop and post office ( Hollingsworths) in Chelmondiston on the main road / junction with Church Road. It is open daily, closing at 5.30pm on weekdays and earlier at weekends .
