The space Kayu Surf Resort is located in Playa El Sunzal, one of the most recognized surf resorts in El Salvador. The complex consists of a boutique resort with five suites, 2 standard rooms and a 4 bedroom house with full kitchen, grill and private pool for groups of friends and families. The entire complex has private parking and access to restaurant and beach bar with access to point surf of El Sunzal, suites and standard rooms have access to large pool. The hotel complex and Casa Kayu is divided by El Litoral road from its beach bar which offers an a la carte menu similar to the hotel restaurant on three levels. The beach bar (Kayu Ocean, Bar & Grill) has four levels, the one closest to the beach houses a surf school, where beginners and surfers of different levels can rent boards, schedule lessons or organize surf trips. Kayu is located in front of the famous surf point of El Sunzal, home of world surfing championships and very close to other surf breaks: Sunzalito, La Bocana, La Bocanita. A pristine spot with world class surf breaks, considered a surfer's paradise with long lasting surf breaks to fast peeling beach breaks. Offers year-round surfing. Kayu Ocean Bar and Grill is beachfront; with four levels, private beach access, ample parking, two bathrooms. The four floors of the bar and grill have exceptional panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, El Sunzal surf break and El Tunco. A few steps away is El Tunco beach with a relaxed atmosphere; many restaurants and small stores. The ISA Surf Foundation, hosted the world's best surfers in 2022 and 2023 next to Kayu Bar and Grill. Surfers from around the world competed for a spot in the 2024 Olympics. In 2023 Kayu was honored to host the Olympic surfing teams from Brazil, Japan and Guam. There is 24-hour security. Our main gate is locked after 7 p.m. as well as beach access, if you plan to leave, you must leave your number, in reservations you will be given the phone number of security with whom you must coordinate your return or late check in.
