Fern Valley Cabin

Sitting on an acre, surrounded by pines and fern-covered grounds, your group can enjoy the large deck and fire pit in the warmer months, and the gas log fireplace during cold months. Into the kitchen where you will find both washable and disposable plates, cups, silverware. Plenty of cookware and utensils are provided, along with seasonings and condiments. Regular and decaf coffee, along with sweeteners and creamers are supplied. The 16 x 16 open living area offers plenty of seating, a large TV for streaming, and a desk area with a charging station. The fireplace is gas log, and the cabin also offers a furnace with forced air heat. There is a 11 x 11 bedroom and full bath on the main level - the bathroom is accessed from both the bedroom and the kitchen. The large sliding door leads out to a large 20 x 10 deck, with provided seating for 6 (except during the winter months). The second floor has two bedrooms - each are 11 x 10 with a queen sized bed, and both dresser and closet storage. Also supplied with luggage rack, phone charger, mirror and flashlight (in dresser). There is another stocked full bathroom with tub located between them. One bedroom has a TV and a small private 10 x 5 deck. Outside, there is a designated fire pit with seating. Overall, you will experience both privacy and convenience on this one acre space located 5 minutes from Cook Forest Visitor Center. We hope to host you! Guest access You will have the entire cabin to use, except access to the shed. Other things to note To our guests bringing dogs: We provide beds, a tie-out, waste bags, and food/water bowls. We do expect they will stay off the furniture; however, we also know that yours may not be trained that way. If your dog has to be on the living room furniture, we ask that you use the sofa and/or chair cover that are provided. Our dogs are part of our family, too!
