Blue Room in an 1803 farmhouse
Blue Room in an 1803 farmhouse
Description
You will sleep well in the Blue Room in a restored 1803 New Hampshire farm. Fall asleep to a chorus of frogs, peepers, and other wildlife. Hike along old logging trails, enjoy the view from the hill, or unwind in the gazebo near the pond. It's hard to believe you're only 30 minutes from Hanover, home of Dartmouth College, and all the Upper Valley has to offer. The Blue Room features an antique rope bed, shorter and narrower than modern doubles, it is suitable for only one smaller adult. The space The farmhouse was built in 1803 and was used as a safe hiding spot on the Underground Railroad. Completely restored and renovated with modern necessities, it is at the end of a dead-end dirt road, very private and quiet. There are old logging roads and a former, now-closed, state road for hikes in the woods. Two televisions, a deck, and a granite patio with a fire pit and grills are at your disposal. Breakfast is served in the downstairs dining room daily. Guest access Guests are welcome to watch television in the downstairs living room, the upstairs family room, enjoy a home-made breakfast in the dining room, hike the many rustic trails, use the deck, the granite patio with fire pit and grills. During your stay Both of us are delighted to help guests throughout their stay. At least one of us is home almost all the time. Other things to note We are parents of a Dartmouth graduate, class of 2008. We would love to meet other members of the global Dartmouth family!
