Relax with the family in this quiet, peaceful home featuring a wood stove, AC, a large front deck with fire pit and patio furniture, backyard patio with gas grill and a fully fenced yard, full kitchen with a dining bar and dishwasher, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 shower), washer & dryer, and a large family room with a smart TV in each room, and wifi (see below) and board games. Comfortable for up to five guests. The space Just a quick 1-minute walk to one of the many finger docks on Lake Josephine where you can enjoy paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing or swimming. Take a quick walk or bike ride to the nearby zip line park, the Ol' Swimming Hole on Lake Florence, the General Store, go golfing at the beautiful 9-hole executive course, eat at the always-delicious Lakeshore Restaurant (where you can also grab a peddle or row boat on Lake Jo in the summer season), catch a summer concert at the restaurant or at the historic Anderson Island Farm, or visit one of the many parks for hiking, beach combing, and biking. OR, simply cozy up next to the fire pit and listen to the beauty of the island. Guest access You are welcome to use anything in the house, including what is in the fridge and BOTTOM pantry. Locked white closet and UPPER pantry are owners personal items. Other things to note Our home is situated on the top of a hill. There is a steep set of stairs to get from the driveway to the home. It is not wheelchair accessible. Guests with other mobility issues may experience a difficult time getting up and down the stairs. Anderson Island is a beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle BUT: QUIET: Anderson Island is a very quiet and natural space. We do not allow parties in our home and ask our guests to be respectful of the Island's quiet nature and it's residents. INTERNET & CELL COVERAGE: Being a rural community, internet and cell coverage can be spotty on the island. We do have CenturyLink wifi at the property, and while it works for streaming movies and light computer work, it can be very slow, especially on holiday weekends. Cell coverage is ok at the property but you may find some areas on the island where it works great (The General Store and Lakeshore Restaurant) and other areas it doesn't work at all. HEAT: This home is heated primarily by a wood stove along with wall heaters in each of the rooms. We will provide fire wood during the winter months. FERRY: Part of the charm of Anderson Island is the beautiful ferry ride over! However, during weekends and in the summer, it can get VERY busy. Please check Pierce County Ferry for schedules and tickets (tickets are roundtrip) and give yourself PLENTY of time. If you are not in the first 2 ferry lanes you can expect to wait for the next ferry. Unfortunately, the ferry does experience delays from time to time. Be patient and give yourself plenty of time.
