The Convent of Biniamar - Charm in the Tramuntana

The Old Convent of the Franciscan Sisters of Biniamar. A beautiful 19th century building that we have renovated taking care of every detail and that is finally ready to spend your best vacation in Mallorca. Five hundred square meters, three immense and beautiful living rooms, one of them in the old church, a spacious kitchen with dining room. Six rooms and six bathrooms. The main facade overlooks Calle Sor Margalida de la Passió and the side to a nice private alley. The main building is distributed over three floors. As soon as you enter a series of receivers that have as their point of escape the well, the courtyard and the stone stairs that overlook the garden, welcome us. To your right is the old Church with its elevated roofs with vaults of pointed arch vaults now converted into a cinema with a very large modular sofa and projector. On this same floor we find a double bedroom, which overlooks the main street and a full bathroom, newly renovated, with a nice work shower. Also on this floor is the huge main living room of the house, with double orientation, large windows and balconies, one of which is an entrance to the beautiful and wide alley. Couches, old church benches, and a nice dining table for the most special dinners. The house kitchen is also on this floor. With its own exit, window and view of the courtyard and its well. High ceilings and exposed beams. The kitchen, completely new and equipped, retains elements of the old convent kitchen kitchen and has a large mother-in-law table where 12 people comfortably fit 12 people. Annex to the kitchen, a comfortable Mallorcan "pantry, a pantry with washer, dryer, a second refrigerator and plenty of storage space. On the first floor, a hallway with the Eames' sculptural "Chaise ", gives way to the bedrooms. The first is a suite with a beautiful work bench in which a bathtub is integrated from which you can see the Sierra de Tramontana. Another spacious bedroom with two orientations, a double bed and a work area with nice views and an en suite bathroom with shower and nice views of the village (it doesn't come out in the photos because we just did it, it was lazy). It has a shower and views of the garden and the Sierra de la Tramontana. At the bottom of the plant, before the exit to the terrace, a suite resulting from the union of several of the nuns who lived before in the convent. Next to it, a huge attic bedroom, with a work closet and a spacious bathroom of its own bathroom, with a nice bathtub and huge work shower, from which you can see the Tramontana. The outdoor areas of the house are patio, garden and pool and annex. The courtyard communicates the ground floor with the garden. A covered bracket with nice benches, a well, and a little shaded nook on the way out from the pantry next to the stone stairs to the garden. In the garden we find the 8x3 meter pool, a porch with a chill out area with a huge work bed and a fireplace in the garden. Around the pool are six wooden lounge chairs, a table for twelve and a set of sofas so there is always a place in the shade to relax. At the bottom of the garden, a two-level annex. On the ground floor there is a living room with three windows to the pool, upholstered Majorcan fabric construction benches, a sofa bed and a fireplace , (it doesn't come out in the photos because we just renovated it). Upstairs, a large open and open porch with good views of the Pla de Mallorca, can be the perfect yoga room or a stay to rest in its benches in the shade. Next to the annex, a Mallorcan wooden door communicates us with the Tramontana forest, a World Heritage Site.
