Welcome to Concombre Cottage, set within a 300 year old farmhouse surrounded by the Normandy countryside. Myself, my husband, our dog, cat and 5 free range chickens love it here. 1 dog allowed per stay, 2 dogs on request. Dogs must be kept on a lead in garden areas. Our spacious private two bedroom cottage renovated to a high spec in 2022 is ideal for a relaxing holiday yet only a 5 minutes drive to the nearest town with all amenities. Cycle path & fishing lakes nearby. The space Ground floor Private entrance to your cottage with parking. Open plan fully renovated luxury kitchen/diner with oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, fully equipt with crockery, cutlery and cookware. Large granite fireplace with pellet burner for the cooler months. Separate lounge with comfortable seating, large windows overlooking the garden, the lounge area has large flat screen TV. Modern downstairs WC First Floor Bedroom one Large double bedroom with king size bed, fitted wardrobes, lovely views over the garden and surrounding farmlands. Bedroom Two Spacious bright bedroom with two comfortable single beds, chest of drawers, hanging space and bedside table. The spacious bright bathroom has a quadrant walk-in shower, heated towel rail and bidet. luxury bed linen and towels are provided for your stay at Concombre cottage. Outside Space Your large private patio area with views over the surrounding farmland and our well maintained 1.5 acre garden has all the garden furniture you will need to relax and enjoy the warm evenings with your private bbq. (Charcoal can be provided at a small cost) Owners onsite for all your needs. You will find a welcome book in your cottage with everything you need to know about the surrounding areas, local market days, supermarkets, amenities, attractions and more, including a section on working the kitchen equipment, TV etc. Other things to note A short drive away is a stunning lake with water activities, Swin Golf, Pedalo hire, mini golf, swimming, fishing and a beach bar that serves food and drink 7 days a week with fantastic views over the lake. Ten minutes away is Bagnoles d’lorne the only Spa town in Normandy, set around a huge lake and park it is the perfect place to enjoy a meal in one of the many restaurants, there is a casino and cinema, a Velo Rail for a fun way to see the scenary through the Andaine forest, hike trails, a Chateau and an outdoor lido swimming pool open May to September. The pool is heated to a constant temperature of 28 degrees The Normandy landing beaches, Bayeaux and it’s amazing tapestry, the Caen Botanical gardens are all within 1hr 15 min drive.
