Traditional and cozy cottage at Sauda Ski Center

Welcome to our charming cabin Skudebu in Svandalen/Sauda! The cabin has electricity, running water and WiFi. Electricity, heat pump and wood, bed linen and dishes are included in the price! The cabin is located right by the ski lift (Sauda Skisenter) and has ski in/out facilities. There are great nature experiences all year long. It is 12 minutes to Sauda city center with all facilities, including swimming pool and shops. Svandalen offers spectacular hiking areas and is the starting point for experiences in the mountains in both summer and winter. The space The cabin was built in 1974 and some parts of it have some natural age wear. The bedrooms have a simple standard. 1 room with 2 bunk beds (space for 4) and 1 room with 1 slightly wider bed with space for 2 people (as well as a bed above this for possible storage). The kitchen and living room are newly renovated (2023), in addition to a new large terrace (2024). The cabin is heated by a heat pump, panel heaters, as well as a wood-burning fireplace. Electricity and firewood (located on the terrace) are included in the price. Bed linen and towels are provided, but feel free to bring your own if you wish. Guest access Access to the entire place. Some cabinets and drawers will be marked "Private" and will not be available to guests. The attic/mezzanine is also private. You are welcome to help yourself to sugar, coffee/tea and various other spices, dry goods that are either on the table or in various cabinets/drawers. If there is any food and drink left in the refrigerator, just help yourself to it as well. The top drawer in the freezer is at the guests' disposal. Make yourself at home and feel free to let us know if there are any basic items missing. Other things to note The most important thing upon arrival is to turn on the main tap for the water and get some heat in the cabin, via heat pump, fireplace and panel heaters. The opposite applies on departure: Turn off the main tap for the water. There is no need to empty the fireplace or clean the cabin. This is done by us after you leave. Please bring the garbage and put used linen/towels in your own bag.
