Despite our idyllic rural setting, you're only a short 25-minute train ride away from the vibrant heart of London. The space Our cozy cottage is the ideal choice for a family of five, offering a heartwarming, cottagey atmosphere that'll make your stay truly memorable. Nestled alongside Chobham Common, our quaint cottage exudes a rustic charm that's perfect for creating lasting family memories. While it's just the right size for a family of five, we'd like to mention that the ceilings are on the lower side in some rooms – an integral part of its cottage-like character. If you're exceptionally tall, you might need to watch your head in some areas! The interior of the cottage is thoughtfully designed to give you that unmistakable cottagey cozy feel. You'll find comfy chairs and even a rocking chair where you can relax and unwind. It's the perfect setting to curl up with a good book while sipping on a cup of hot cocoa. While the cottage can accommodate five adults, it's best suited for a family looking for a snug and cosy experience. Guest access The entire cottage is yours to enjoy. You'll have the privacy and comfort of your own cozy retreat, together with garden and patio area with everything you need for a relaxing and memorable stay. You won't need to worry about parking during your visit. There is a dedicated parking space right outside the property, making your arrival and departure hassle-free. For those seeking a refreshing dip or some fun in the water, we offer access to our swimming pool. Please note that pool usage is subject to prior arrangement, and we kindly ask you to check the pool hours and terms to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Other things to note Indoor Heated Swimming Pool & Gym The pool is situated within the grounds of our house (which is next door to The Cottage) and is available for your enjoyment by prior arrangement. Use of the pool is complimentary and to ensure that everyone has a fair opportunity to enjoy it, we offer exclusive 1 or 2-hour time slots (one per day). This allows you to plan your pool time according to your schedule, and you won't have to share the space with other guests. We provide a selection of pool toys to add some extra fun to your swim. Feel free to use them during your pool time. Pool hours are: 9am-6pm April - October 9am-4pm November - March Please note that the pool is accessed via a short woodland walk with uneven surfaces. For those who like to stay active, we also offer access to a small gym area. It's a great option for a quick workout to complement your pool session. We kindly ask that all guests sign a waiver before using the pool. Please note that the pool will be closed for Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day. Maintenance and Possible Downtime Whilst we strive to ensure the pool is up and running at all times it is important to note that occasionally, pool maintenance may be required, or there may be unexpected issues that affect its functionality. We want to ensure transparency and that your expectations are met, so please be aware of the following: There may be occasions when the pool requires maintenance or is temporarily out of service. While we make every effort to keep the pool in optimal condition, unforeseen circumstances can arise. We kindly ask for your understanding in these situations. To avoid any inconvenience during your stay, we encourage you to check with us in advance if access to the pool is crucial to your plans. This way, we can provide you with the most up-to-date information on its status and plan accordingly.
