“Vacation as we like to do it ourselves.” – That was our thought when, at the end of 2018, the idea first arose to create a vacation apartment complex from our listed farmhouse in Spessart, Hesse. After several years, countless discarded and newly found ideas, thousands of hours of work, perceived millions of decisions and many beautiful moments together, we would now like to welcome you as guests in one of our six apartments. The space For the 87 m² attic apartment of the historic farmhouse, the old attic of the building has been converted into a spacious living space with great effort. Witnesses of the old stock are collar beams and timber framing, which have been largely preserved and exposed. The apartment can accommodate up to six people in an open and a closed bedroom (a box spring double bed 180 x 200 cm and two single beds 80 x 200 cm) as well as in the form of a box spring sofa bed in the living area. The open living area with its dormers and gables offers a large dining table, a large, fully equipped kitchen, a flat-screen TV and a spacious living and lounge area. In the separate bathroom, an old apartment door was reworked into a wall mirror. A small balcony allows you to enjoy the setting evening sun. Attention, the stairs to the attic are a bit steeper than conventional stairs. Guest access In addition to plenty of space and meadows, the outdoor area of the farmhouse now offers a number of seating options for our guests – both for socializing and for seclusion and silence. A ping-pong table and a trampoline are available for children and the young at heart. Due to the location at the end of a cul-de-sac, the children can play in the yard without road traffic. A lockable bicycle cellar with a small workshop offers the opportunity to store your bicycles. Of course, the opportunity for barbecuing and a fire pit for a campfire feeling should not be missed. Other things to note Since there is nothing better for us than ending a long day in nature with a relaxing sauna session, it was relatively clear to us relatively quickly: Our WegeLager needs this too! The most beautiful place for this was found quickly: The large barn. And so you can now enjoy one or more sauna sessions there under historic beams with temperatures according to your preferences and then relax in the relaxation room, on the open gallery, on the balcony or with a view of the wide meadows with a freshly brewed tea. The sauna room can accommodate eight people. Please note that the sauna is not included in the apartment price.
