Next, sip and enjoy your favorite beverage down by the water, fish off the lower deck, or get your float on and relax on the Lilly pad. In the evening, get your grill on at the top deck or snuggle up by the fire pit for an evening s’mores session. The space The living space: you walk into the living room with beautiful high ceiling, brand new modern updated decor with lots of natural light. The kitchen and dining room provide ample supplies and seating for 6 guests. The best room, the sunroom, will swing you into a state of pure relaxation. Snuggle up in an egg chair with your favorite book and enjoy water views from every window. The bedrooms: Room 1: the master bedroom is located upstairs. It has own king size bed, tv and its own bathroom with an incredible view that overlooks the lake and modern walk-in doorless shower. Room 2: is located downstairs on the main living area. It has its own king size bed. It shares a hallway full bathroom and overlooks the lush mountain greenery. Room 3: is a loft bedroom with its own king size bed. It has incredible views that overlook the lake. Property has multiple landings for outdoor entertainment. NEVER BEEN TO WATAUGA LAKE? Watauga Lake is an extremely beautiful and clean recreational lake (3rd cleanest in the country) located in the Cherokee National forest with 105 miles of shoreline. More than half of the lake is mountainous national forest and cannot be developed, so it’s naturally beautiful and not crazy overpopulated with boats. This hidden gem is known to be one of the most beautiful lakes on the east coast. Watauga lake is great for boating, jet-skiing, tubing, skiing/wakeboarding, fishing, swimming, kayaking etc. Downstream of the dam is a very popular whitewater rafting area as most of the local companies in TN and NC bring their patrons here. Hiking is also very popular as the Appalachian trail and a couple of small waterfalls are nearby. This property is also close to attractions in Boone, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock, NC and attractions in eastern TN. We have great sunny summers with no mosquitoes and beautiful fall colors when the leaves change. In the wintertime, skiing is a popular option at nearby Sugar and Beech Mountain. Note: Our old service Centurylink, which was our only option for internet service at the time, was advertised on this listing as being unreliable and known to experience outages. We then briefly switched to Starlink in 2023 which was better. Stair Notice: Nestled in a scenic mountainous location, this charming vacation rental offers the perfect lakeside retreat. Please note that the property features approximately 15 steps leading to the front door, and additional steps down to the dock. As with most properties on the lake, the terrain offers a bit of a climb and descent, making it a great option for guests who appreciate nature and don't mind a little extra effort.
