If you like to explore, we can arrange a scooter or tuk tuk for easy access to the most beautiful beaches near Tangalle (10–15 min). If you prefer to stay in, many guests spend their days reading, resting, working remotely or sharing meals with us. We live next door — close enough to help with anything you need, but far enough to give you complete privacy. Guest access Guests have full access to their own private cabana, garden and outdoor dining area. Your space has a separate entrance and is completely independent, so you can come and go as you like. You are welcome to wander along the lakeside and through our tropical family garden, where you may see birds, butterflies, peacocks and our gentle dogs relaxing in the shade. Many guests enjoy a quiet stroll in the early morning or at sunset. If you need a scooter or a tuk tuk, we can help arrange it for easy access to the beaches and the surrounding area. We live next door and are available whenever you need assistance, while still giving you complete privacy. Other things to note The open-air bathroom is a guest favourite — a spacious outdoor shower surrounded by banana leaves and tropical plants. The water is naturally cool, refreshing in the warm climate, and often described as unforgettable. We are not directly on the beach — and that’s exactly what creates the quiet, secluded atmosphere guests love about NJ House. The most beautiful beaches near Tangalle are 10–15 minutes away by tuk tuk or scooter, and we’re happy to arrange transport. Our two friendly dogs live in the garden and may quietly wander past your cabana. They are gentle, calm and used to guests, adding to the peaceful, homely atmosphere of NJ House. We offer high-speed Starlink internet, ideal for remote work, video calls or longer stays. Even though the cabana is surrounded by nature and completely quiet, you can stay fully connected whenever you need. Laundry service is available on request. Families with small children are welcome, and we can provide a baby cot on request.
