Description

Neuf Nest Cottage is a beautiful family cottage located on Little Traverse Bay between Harbor Springs & Petoskey, Michigan. The quiet and natural surroundings of this resort home immediately invite you to relax and decompress. Swim in sandy Lake Michigan, splash in the Trout Stream, or grill out on the secluded back deck listening to the spring fed ponds and gaze out at acres of private woodlands. Plenty of local activities will let you and family enjoy your stay and create magical memories. The space The main living area is an open concept layout and has a fireplace and plenty of views to the outdoors. The main living area (kitchen, living room, three of the bedrooms and two baths) is up one flight of stairs. It can be access from either the wrap around deck or an interior circular staircase. Two bedrooms, two baths, and the laundry room are located on the ground floor. The wrap around deck leads you to a two-tiered back deck overlooking 3 artesian ponds and acres of private woods. Enjoy quiet time reading or cooking out in the privacy of the little oasis. Guest access The guest will have access to the entire home except the loft (third floor) and locked storage areas. Other things to note If you want to learn more about Neuf Nest, you can find us online also. Please read and abide by the association beach rules - MENONAQUA BEACH RULES 1. Hours. Young adults under 21 and all minors are requested to leave the beach at 10PM unless accompanied by an adult over 21. Children under 12 are required to leave the beach after dark unless accompanied by an adult. 2. Noise. Members, Inn Guests and renters are not permitted to participate in activities that result in excessive noise on the beach or other common areas after 10PM. Renters may not host events in common areas or on the beach. 3. Alcohol. Absolutely no alcohol may be supplied to or consumed by minors (people under 21) on the beach, in the circle parking area or at the Inn. It is a violation of Michigan law for minors to consume alcohol or to supply alcohol to minors. 4. Beach Fires. Confine beach fires to the designated area directly in front of the Inn. 5. Pavilion. Please be considerate of others when using the pavilion and clean up all trash when done. Please turn out the lights when leaving at night. 6. Beach Guests. Guests on the beach (other than house guests & family members) must be accompanied by their host cottage owner. Renters may not have guests. 7. Dogs. Renters are not allowed to have dogs on the beach. Cottage owners or their family may bring their dogs to the beach on a leash in the areas 60 feet north of the pavilion and 30 feet south of the south end of the Inn. Owners must clean up after their dog and dispose of any waste at the owner's cottage. The limitation to cottage owners applies between June 25th and Labor Day of each year. 8. Glass Items. Glass items (bottles, drinking glasses, etc.) are not allowed on the beach. 9. Beach Furniture. Beach furniture is not to be taken to the fire area or into the water and should be treated with care and respect. Please report any broken or damaged furniture to the Inn Manager. 10. Swing Set. Parents are responsible to supervise their children to ensure safe play on the swing set. Menonaqua Beach assumes no responsibility for use or condition of swing set. 11. Watercraft. No watercraft are permitted in the designated swimming area in front of the Inn. Park or anchor all sail and power boats south of the swim area in front of the Inn. No jet skis are allowed anywhere on Menonaqua Beach. We do not have room for trailer parking, unless it will fit in the parking at the home of the cottage. 12. Fireworks. No fireworks are allowed to be set off anywhere on Menonaqua Beach property except that on July 4th fireworks are allowed provided that they are supervised by an adult, and all waste is properly disposed of, and the fireworks are aimed out over the water. 13. Stone Retaining Walls. No playing on or jumping off the stone retaining walls as this could be dangerous and results in damage to the walls. 14. Dunes and Flowers. Please do not play in the dunes in front of the cottages. We do not want to disturb vegetation trying to exist there. Do not pick any wildflowers anywhere. It is against the law in Michigan. 15. Trash. Please, do not leave cigarette butts or other trash on the beach. 16. Assumption of Risk. All those who use the beach or any of the beach facilities, including the water, assume all risk of personal injury and property damage and use these facilities at their own risk and release Menonaqua Beach Cottage Owners Association and all its officers, agents, employees and shareholders from all liability, including for personal injury and property damage, arising from such use. No lifeguard is provided at any time at the beach. Please note that if you are interested in renting, we have a DocuSign rental agreement you will need to sign. once we confirm the dates, we will send it to you. Your reservation will be canceled if you do not want to sign the rental agreement.
