Villa Alysso

Villa Alysso is located in the beautiful and welcoming village of Megala Horafia, an area approximately 2 km away from the national road, only a few minutes away from the beach and near the beautiful city of Chania. It is a fully equipped modern house with access to a big pool, surrounded by picturesque views, varying from the Souda Bay to the mountains, olive groves and golden sunsets. Definitely an ideal spot for families and groups of friends who wish to make the most of their holiday. The space Villa Alysso is a modern and cosy villa located in a historic village of Crete, called Megala Horafia or Aptera. Aptera dates back to 14th-13th century BC and is now an archaeological site containing many aspects of Greek history . The villa is part of a complex of 5 villas in total set in a slope with views to the most characteristic Cretan kinds of landscapes- the White Mountains, olive groves and the sea! The house itself, built in a modern way, consists of 2 levels and plenty of outdoor space. The combination and the choice of colours creates a relaxing and welcoming effect immediately felt once someone steps in. All the furniture and appliances have been carefully picked in order to ensure the comfort of everyone who stays in. Starting from outside, the villa provides free parking space outside the property. The main entrance is accessed by stairs which lead to the ground floor. Here, there is a fully equipped kitchen with a lot of counter space and modern appliances such as a kettle, a regular coffee/tea maker, an espresso machine and a toaster just to name a few. The sitting room with its wonderful views has got a sofa and provides an additional sleeping space for a 5th person. There is also a half bathroom between the kitchen and the sitting room. The patio outside the sitting room provides a lovely seating option ideal for having some tea or a glass of wine during sunset. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with a bathtub. Both bedrooms have French windows and balconies. The balcony of the twin bedroom provides a shaded seating area as an additional way to grasp the beauty of nature. The pool of the complex is quite big and has a children's area. The guests of Villa Alysso have their own space on the pool area equipped with sunbeds and an umbrella. Everyone is welcome to stay in this beautiful villa whether you are looking for relaxation or a more active holiday. The national highway which takes you everywhere in Crete is only 2km away while restaurants and a convenience store can be found within a kilometre. Other things to note We had a fantastic family holiday staying at Villa Alysso. Violetta and her daughters were wonderful hosts - they were warm, welcoming, thoughtful and very helpful - thank you so much - and for the delicious Cretan food on our arrival! Villa Alysso was really comfortable, spotlessly clean, with access to a lovely pool and is in a great location for exploring the island.
