Private Glamp under the Stars
Private Glamp under the Stars
Description
Quiet countryside glamping getaway in a bell tent, situated behind my home and studio. You'll have your own little paddock, surrounded by pasture land, hedgerows, apple trees, sometimes sheep, and steps away from woodlands and cycling routes, and on a clear night... a mass of stars overhead! The Black Mountains and River Wye are nearby, awaiting exciting walks and adventures. Herefordshire has a vibrant local food scene too. The space After approaching down a lane, you'll find a quiet paddock behind my home all to yourselves. Surrounded by apple trees, lying beneath a low hill overlooking our little valley. The space is mostly fenced off and private. You'll be staying in a beautiful bell tent, risen off the ground on a wooden platform. Inside there is a thick futon double sized mattress on futon base and basic furniture; all cosy, decorated and furnished, with clean sheets, thick double duvet, 2 pillows and extra blanket provided. In the paddock there is a composting toilet, bike shelter for up to five bikes, a sheltered outdoor kitchen area with one-burner gas stove; also a BBQ; and picnic table. There is a fire bowel that you can warm yourself by on those chillier evenings. For warm showers you'll be able to access the main house bathroom during certain times. Down the steps from the paddock is a shared little area with WiFi access, a recharging point and water to refill your water canisters. Hosting with me will be my cat Pirate (in the photos), who is very friendly. At the end of my lane, steps away, there is woodland, with an iron-age fort in the middle. More broadly, there are lots of ways to enjoy the nearby countryside from cycling, hiking, to river adventures, and country pubs and local food. Please see my Guidebook for more ideas! Guest access You'll have the whole grassy paddock to yourselves. There are a few local shops nearby where you can pick up food and local produce, or you can head into our nearby town for the farmers' market and local shops. Unfortunately given the nature of the site access for wheelchair users would be difficult. The lane isn't suitable for low-lying vehicles, and no pets as the paddock is not fully fenced.
