Perfect combination of rural and modern

Unwind in a unique location that combines traditional and contemporary architecture, 20 minutes from the coast and 40 from the airport. The house is designed to connect the different rooms with the outside. The use of natural materials such as lime, wood, ceramics and local pebbles is perfect to enjoy it barefoot. Its location allows you to dine and walk around town and, at the same time, feel as you were in nature, enjoying the views of the hills as you cool off in the terrace jacuzzi. The space The house is located in el Borge, a small village in the Axarquía region of Málaga, surrounded by mountains and vineyards. The entrance patio welcomes you with a large table and a beautiful pergola for dining in the shade. Thanks to the wide walls made of stone, you instantly notice the different temperature when you enter the living room, and the smooth terracotta floor invites you to enjoy it barefoot. The stairs and the built-in sofa create a beautiful architectural artwork. A nap in the soft sofa is recommended or you can rest on the poufs in front of the fire place, which used to be part of the kitchen. The stairs head to one of the bedrooms. A balcony provides amazing views of the hills, which you can enjoy while waking up and working at your desk. The kitchen has two stable doors that open onto two patios—the entrance patio and a second one with a lemon tree and a little garden. You are welcome to use its aromatic herbs such as basil, rosemary and mint to cook. The second bedroom is carved into the rock, making it cozy and unique. It also receives plenty of light through a large window that overlooks the garden patio. Also, you can climb up a ladder to open a little window, which allows for cross-ventilation. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. The upstairs shower offers mountain views, while the downstairs one preserves an old staircase that used to lead to the place where they kept animals. The little pool is located on the terrace, accessible via the first-floor bedroom and the main patio. Due to its secluded location, you can enjoy complete privacy, and during the cooler months, you have the option to heat the water for year-round relaxation. We made this renovation with great care.
