There are good opportunities for hunting, fishing and mountain trips just nearby. The area has many hiking trails of varying difficulty and length. In winter, there are good opportunities for all skiing and snowmobiling activities with slopes nearby. Øksfjord is located about 30 km from the cabin and there you can take the ferry over to Sørøya which is Norway's largest island without a mainland connection. At the cabin you can see the northern lights dancing over the cabin on a clear winter evening or experience the light 24 hours a day on a summer evening. Tappeluft is located approx. 80 km from Alta city center where there is also an airport and car rental. The cabin was built in 2018/2019 and is of high standard. The cabin has electricity, water and drainage, as well as fiber. Water from the fountain can be drunk. Two bedrooms with family bunk beds, a loft with four built-in beds and a sofa bed in the living room on the loft. There is a door between these two rooms on the loft. The loft has a TV with a Playstation. Guest access The entire cabin is available except for the master bedroom which will be locked during the tenancy. Two of the bedrooms have a family bunk bed. Washing machine, freezer and drying cabinet are available at the rental. NOTE: The tenant must bring wood or charcoal (charcoal can be purchased from the landlord for a fee). Other things to note The cleaning fee is for washing of towels and bed linen. The whole house must be vacuumed and cleaned, including kitchen, appliances, bathroom with shower and toilet, before leaving. Leave used bed linen and towels in the laundry room. Garbage must be taken with you at check-out and can be disposed of in the nearest waste container, either in Alta or Burfjord. NOTE: DO NOT dispose of sanitary pads or other items in the toilet!
