Off the front porch is a nice garden to look at in the morning and just across the street, another piece of La Porte history with courtyard views! Minutes from the lakes of La Porte, 20 from New Buffalo, and about 35 from Notre Dame Stadium. We can't leave out the vineyards surrounding La Porte and lower Michigan. Also, there's Sherwood Forrest Paintball Park and the country clubs too! This is a lived-in guest suite, which we Airbnb when we're away. Part of the historic Judge J.B Niles House. The oldest part of the home. This Airbnb is cozy and warm. It gives you that cottage in the woods feel even though you're a minute from downtown La Porte. Also, minutes from the lakes or not far from just about any activity you could want to do on vacation! You could enjoy the privacy of the cottage or go on an adventure! On the main floor, there's the kitchen, dining, & living rooms. Then there’s a full bath and an office area. Up the stairs, you'll find the wrap around 2 bedrooms with another 1.75 bath (tub, no shower) and plenty of storage. Guest has Airbnb access and front door garden area. In the process of dividing the backyard for separate Airbnbs. So, hopefully when you’re here you’ll have your own relaxation area. In the meantime it just an open area. The back door is currently emergency exit only and to take any garbage and recycling out. No access to garage or basement. Guest can contact us best through texts. Calls for emergencies. Once a powerful industrial town, now in the midst of revitalization. We have downtown areas with coffee shops, diners, antique stores, niche restaurants, and boutique shops. The parks, lakes, beaches, and golf courses are minutes away. Surrounded by farm and country beyond city limits where you'll find vineyards, state parks, and more golf courses. Also, Sherwood Forrest Paintball Park. We're only 25 minutes from New Buffalo and 35 minutes away from Notre Dame! Car, bike, Uber, and Lyft are the best options. Walking is manageable to downtown shops and eateries. Doordash is always around for a bite to eat without leaving the couch. Get comfortable, take care of it like it's yours, and enjoy your stay!
