Johnson’s Mill Cottage

Quiet & tranquil cottage built on the back of the historic barn & family home. Self contained with a large bedroom, separate living & kitchen, & mezzanine bonus lounge. Just 30 mins from Adelaide, we are an easy walk to artisan bakeries, cafes, & the District Hotel. You may be visited by our friendly pet dogs that roam the property, and amongst the fruit trees, and garden beds that we are working to build up. We facilitate contactless entry, or can meet & greet you on arrival. The space The cottage is built on the back of a 180year old barn; situated at the back of our family home. With separate access, and completely self-contained, while you may see us working in the gardens, we endeavour to stay away so you will enjoy a quiet and private stay. You are absolutely welcome to interact with us, but otherwise we will leave you to enjoy a peaceful Adelaide hills visit. Insta is johnsonsmillcottage Other things to note We provide a small bottle of full cream milk for hot drinks - if you would prefer an alternative milk then please let us know. Please note that in rural areas, such as Nairne, at times there will be small animals and rodents looking for food. We recommend putting food away overnight to reduce the risk of these pests entering the property. Although we treat the exterior to keep out pests including insects and mice, this is a reality of nature. Our space may not be a fit for those who are extremely phobic of these and other wildlife. There is a Smart TV in the cottage which you can use your personal WIFI to watch streaming or on-demand services. The TV does not an aerial and unfortunately the thick stone walls prevent accessing our WIFI service from the cottage.
