Cozy loft in West Dawson

Welcome to West Dawson where you can relax and enjoy nature after a busy day of exploring Dawson City. Located just up the hill on the other side of the Yukon river, you will get to enjoy a ride across river with the trusty George Black Ferry (running 24/7 free of charge). From the ferry landing it is just a two minute drive to reach the loft, or if you prefer, it can also be a nice walk. The space You will be staying in a cozy but very spacious loft above a garage (the garage is only used in winter, so your quiet getaway will not be disturbed). The Loft is equipped with a full size/double bed including bedding (as well as two additional mattresses if needed) and a very nice couch to relax in front of big floor-to-ceiling windows and the wood stove to the other side. There is a small kitchen area with the essentials to cook your own meals, a dinner table and a small work desk. And for your true Yukon experience you will have your private outhouse next to the loft! Guest access Guests will have the whole loft for themselves as well as their own private outhouse. The driveway is shared but there is lots of space for parking. Other things to note Please note, that this is an off-grid place. Electricity is available via solar power and/or generator so you can still charge your phone and watch your favourite show at the end of the day. Fresh potable water is provided for drinking/cooking/cleaning and we also have a brand new shower system set up. There is a propane-powered cooking stove/oven that's easy to use, as well as a fridge with small freezer compartment. In case there are any rainy days or chilly nights, there is also a wood stove for heating. Unfortunately at this point there is no laundry machine or WIFI! We will gladly provide you with directions to a place in town where you can do laundry, and free WIFI is available at the visitor information centre.
