The perfect fusion of minimalism and authenticity, Domaine Aari Ona breathes fresh life into Béarnaise heritage traditions in this old Béarnaise style farm compound originally built in 1763, located right in the lush green rolling hills of the Vallée de Barétous. The space All four accommodations have been designed with eco-conscious materials and a pure, minimalist design in mind. The wood for the timber-clad walls has been sourced from local sawmills. Handmade furnishings were crafted by local artisans and combined with 20th-century design classics. The artwork throughout the compound has been carefully curated from the owner's private collection. The property features in the tastefully converted barn three spacious junior suites (32, 32, 48 m2) and an apartment (66 m2), all with generous private terraces, for a total of 8+4 guests, so there is plenty of room to bring the family or a group of like-minded travel friends. Simplicity and comfort are the driving forces for all four accommodations. Wake up with spectacular sunrises, wide opening floor-to-ceiling windows reveal vistas of rural Béarnaise life and mountain ranges, which you can admire from your private terrace or bed. Each space is cozy and with everything you might need for an unforgettable stay. Whitman Suite is a spacious 66 sq.m. apartment with a loft-like feeling. The open space living room is connected to the dining room and its well-equipped kitchen with an eating bar and a dining table. The bedroom offers a comfortable queen-size bed (160x200) and a modern en-suite bathroom with an Italian shower and a separate toilet. Local artisans exclusively made wood-clad interior walls and some of the furniture. All three rooms of the apartment have large windows and direct access to the 25 sq.m. private terrace with views of the green rolling hills, the mountains, and beautiful sunrises in the morning. Guest access Domaine Aari Ona is a genuinely welcoming place to unplug, relax and be uninterrupted. Nature is the backdrop and sets the tone for seasonal activities. With fewer everyday distractions, the body, and mind can take well-deserved time to reflect and refresh in a peaceful, natural environment totally conducive to enjoying life's pleasures. Our saltwater pool with terraced wooden decks and panoramic views welcomes you to enjoy sunbathing and refreshing swims in warm months. An indoor infrared sauna to relax after a long hike, bike ride, or a day on the ski slopes. A fully equipped in-house gym for some power training. There is a myriad of activities starting right from the Domaine. An abundance of marked hiking trails along the nearby mountain ranges with spectacular views, trails for mountain bikes, road cycling in the mountains, on the routes of the Tour de France, trail running, walking in the woods, or simply hugging a tree.
