The Historic Gillen House

A celebrated historic landmark, Gillen House stands on an oak-shaded corner lot; walking distance to shops, restaurants & the town square. Lovingly decorated with antiques, original stained glass windows, turrets, soaring ceilings and modern comfort to bridge history & luxury. Think crystal, china teacups, old photos, books, paintings, art and sculpture. A rotary phone, framed and preserved letters – all honoring the legacy of the house, the families that lived here & the history of the town. The space The downstairs has two beautifully Victorian decorated bedrooms. There is an executive office showcasing tiger wood antiques, some of the pieces original to the house. There is a sitting room with tv, restroom great family spaces to gather. The formal dining area is large enough for seating of 14 people. The kitchen looks like a 1950s era with cozy decor, complete with original stove and table. You will not believe the upstairs. Three bedrooms and a sitting room that you have to see to believe. Most of the furniture is original to the Gillen family. A unique experience if you are into history. Other things to note We welcome one small dog (under 25 lbs) with prior approval. Dogs must be house-trained, not allowed on furniture, and crated if left unattended. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pet. Any pet-related damage will be charged accordingly. We offer free wi-fi and a smart TV which allows you to log into your own accounts on Netflix, Hulu, Disney, etc.
