Description
The "Moss Greene" suite is located on the garden floor of the manor house. It connects directly to the shared kitchen and consists of a bedroom with an en-suite shower room, as well as a living room with a sofa group and desk. All rooms have a direct view of the estate park and for the winter months, underfloor heating ensures warm bare feet. The living room connects directly to the shared kitchen, from which you can immediately reach the terrace and the estate park. The space On the outskirts of the village, the manor house stands on a 3-hectare, park-like property on the edge of the Mecklenburg Lake District. It was built in 1879 and has been renovated by us since 2017 in accordance with the highest possible ecological standards. Clay and lime plasters adorn the walls again, while linseed oil paints refresh the 150-year-old original windows. According to the motto "monument meets zeitgeist," however, we did not want to do without modern comfort and have carefully incorporated it into the listed substance. Modern ensuite bathrooms pair with reworked timber beams, comfortable beds and original plank floors. In between you will find one or the other design furniture, the historicism chair or a personal creation. Each apartment has been renovated and designed with a lot (a lot) of dedication. They all have a wonderful view of the countryside. Birdsong will not only sweeten your morning, because our forest owl will also sing to you in the evening. In addition to the two suites directly adjacent to the large communal kitchen, each apartment in the house has its own generously equipped kitchen with Smeg induction hob and WFM kitchen equipment. The manor house has always been a place of community. Originally built as a residential building of the landlord family, there were already various guest rooms, a classroom, bedrooms for the domestic workers and rooms for the organization and administration of the estate. The manor kitchen we restored had 9 cooking areas, its own well and plenty of room for food. Under the roof is still the old smokehouse, in which supplies for the whole village were made. During the time of the socialist GDR, people danced here at weddings and various other festivals. The house was also used for living, as well as a neighborhood workshop and consumption. The latter unfortunately brought us the reconstruction of the main entrance, the dismantling of the loading ramp in accordance with the monument is still pending here. (Of course, at a time when you are not there.) So we want to keep this spirit of communication and community alive in the house: in addition to the apartments, there are some common areas in the house. The old manor kitchen was rebuilt as a communal kitchen and is available to every guest. It offers direct access to the garden terrace. A Smeg Range Cooker, the open kitchen design with a large kitchen block, a spacious dining table and the old fountain, which we have reactivated, provide the basis for joint cooking sessions. In addition, there is a music rehearsal room, a seminar room and the large hall with its own generously equipped kitchen for a wide variety of gatherings. In addition, the seasonally planted vegetable beds offer you basics and fiber for your cooking skills. If that's not enough, you can discover ground elder, heracleum and mushrooms in the park. Our small house consumption offers not only information about the area, but also soon drinks for young and old and basics for self-catering. Basically, we hope that our guests will quickly feel at home. Since we recently moved from Berlin to Mecklenburg and also live in the house ourselves, we will ambitiously take care of your well-being. We look forward to your impressions, input and suggestions. So far, the first 4 apartments /suites are ready, another 5 will follow. These will be renovated in the off-season, in the absence of guests. Unless you want to know exactly and want to bring an old door back to life. Feel free to join ;-) In addition, underfloor heating on the ground floor and large, modern radiators on the upper floors ensure winter comfort. Other things to note The Zarchlin manor house, the expanses and the surroundings are a place to breathe, linger and discover at any time of the year. Be it the change of seasons or in the middle of the hustle and bustle of spring, summer, autumn and winter; nature, people and culture fascinate timelessly and sustainably.
