The space Inside, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room and a bar area perfect for enjoying a drink with friends. The living area features comfortable seating, a fireplace (for those winter nights) and large windows that showcase the breathtaking views of Lake Erie. There is no air conditioning in the cottage. We offer fans in all rooms and our sliding glass doors offer an excellent cross-breeze. One of the most magical things about staying at our cottage on Lake Erie is the soothing sound of the waves lapping against the shoreline. Whether you're an early riser or you prefer to sleep in, waking up to the gentle sound of the water is a perfect way to start your day. Outside is where this place really shines! You’ve got your own stretch of flat rock shoreline (Not sand and not ideal for little ones!). Evenings are made for gathering around the fire pit, roasting s’mores, and watching the stars come out. And when it’s time to eat, fire up the BBQ and enjoy a laid-back lakeside cookout. We recommend bringing water shoes for those who want to swim! Love to golf? You're in luck! Freedom Oaks golf course is just a minute's drive away and Dunnville Golf Club is a short 15-minute drive. If your ideal vacation involves a completely bug-free environment, a downtown hotel may be a better fit. Our cottage is surrounded by water, trees and wildlife which means the occasional spider (and spider web!) or insect may make an appearance despite our cleaning efforts. Consider them tiny locals welcoming you to the lake! Seasonal Algae (Occasional & Rare!) - Lake Erie’s water clarity and shoreline is up to Mother Nature! Algae can come and go depending on the season and rainfall. It’s a natural part of the ecosystem and usually doesn’t affect swimming. If needed, we’re happy to suggest other great local swim spots. Other things to note Only bedroom #4 requires guests to climb the stairs. Otherwise, all other rooms in the house are on the main floor.
