Private patio out front to social distance easily for that morning cup of coffee, evening cocktail, etc., while overlooking beautiful East Capitol Street. Charming. Absolute top location. Great area three blocks to Capitol! Walk to nationally top ranked restaurants, nightlife, National Mall, Union Station. Charming 1860s 3-unit building. On first floor with separate entrance. Patio. All are welcome, including LGBTQ+ and allies. Ground floor overlooking beautiful East Capitol Street. Three blocks from the Capitol on East Capitol street. Just a great space, in a great location. Walk to restaurants, shops, metro, National Mall, Library of Congress, Capitol, museums, etc. Has queen size bed plus queen size sleeper sofa. Washer/Dryer in apartment. Patio space right outside front door to relax in after a long day. Smart TV has all the major apps built in (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc) which you can use with your own accounts. Plus we provide YouTube TV (65 of the most popular channels including local ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, CNN, etc) using our account. This block is often used to as a movie set location because it's absolutely charming. Robert DeNiro used the front yard to direct Matt Damon in The Good Shepherd. It was a scene shot in the cleaners across the street. Sadly the entire scene was cut, but such is the life of a movie scene..... This is a Capitol Hill Stay property. We are a veteran-owned business, in business since 1997. We have 20 places on Capitol Hill. If this one isn't a good fit please contact us and perhaps we can make other suggestions. We often have availability that may not show up on all booking platforms. This is our sole source of income. We support two extended families - including elderly parents - on this revenue. We also hire local maids, contractors, landscapers, and various tradespeople. Our Welcome Letters include references to great local businesses. We thank you very much for your interest, and thank you for considering supporting a veteran-owned small business. A few words about rates: Since every booking is different the rates listed are an approximation. Rates are based on length of stay, specific dates needed, amenities requested, etc. Bookings less than 91 days are subject to the DC lodging tax of 15.95%. If your stay is 91 days or longer you avoid that tax for the entire stay. SINCE EVERY INQUIRY IS DIFFERENT AND THE BIGGEST FACTOR IN PRICE ARE THE SPECIFIC DATES CHOSEN AND LENGTH OF STAY RATES MAY BE HIGHER OR LOWER THAN WHAT IS POSTED. PLEASE INQUIRE SO WE CAN DISCUSS PRIOR TO SENDING A BOOKING REQUEST. Late spring and summer are the 'high season' very high demand months, moreso this year than ever before as this is the first year that many federal agencies and private employers are bring people back to DC, and they are making up for lost productivity during Covid. Most furnished housing providers in DC will only take bookings for three months or longer during these months. We will do shorter stays, but the furnished housing business is usually priced by length of stay (and specific dates chosen). Shorter term stays are at a higher rate. And generally we try to match an incoming booking with an apartment that is available beginning within a week or so of the requested date. For instance if you are seeking a one or two month rental beginning July 1 we would want to match your request with a property available beginning in very late June or July 1 (not leaving more than a couple of days vacant between bookings). If this property about seems to have an availability date that may not match up please contact us to see if we can make a specific suggestion, as sometimes we have availability that isn't showing up on booking platforms. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions. This is a private apartment. You have access to everything. We are available as needed. Late check in is fine as this apartment has an electronic lock. We also have a comprehensive Welcome Letter with apartment info and neighborhood tips. Very charming. Centrally located. Great metro access. Three blocks from the Capitol, so all the museums and National Mall are right there. Five blocks to red, orange, and blue line metros. Five blocks to Union Station (train, tourist shuttles, etc). Capital Bikeshare is forty feet away. Two corner groceries in this block, as well as pharmacy and great diner. The corner grocery, diner, and other amenities within the block are true urban living at it's best. Great spot to explore DC from. Fantastic neighborhood for longer term stay as well.
