Chocolate Box Cottage near The Cotswolds

Our family Cottage is my favourite space to chill and relax. Its a cosy grade II listed 17th century cottage, full of original charm and character. We have a quaint country cottage garden which offers an additional peaceful space. Nestled in the beautiful village of Cropthorne, it sits on the edge of the Cotswolds. There are several village pubs to visit and local farm shops to explore and if you want a trip out to our larger towns or cities we are the perfect location for a short trip away. The space Elm Cottage has been our family home for 4 years now and we have had great fun renovating it over the years to be a space I truly love. I always wanted to live in a cosy black and white cottage and feel the character and space really brings a smile to anyone who visits. It is a small quaint cottage packed full of original charm and history. It is only big enough for a maximum of 4 guests in total (including infants). I wanted our kitchen to have a farmhouse feel to it when we re-modelled it, with wooden work surfaces and stone floors. Its a fully fitted kitchen with all appliances you would need for full self catering, including my favourite appliance... the dishwasher! The cottage is fully open plan downstairs so you can gather and chat at the dining room table while you watch the chef among you cook. For cooking help yourself as our home will contain all you need including all cookware, crockery, utensils, salt, pepper and oil, stock cubes, flour, dishwasher tablets, dish cloths, tea towels, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc. So you can just settle in and relax. Our living room space shows most of the original character to our home with original beams and beautiful inglenook fireplace. The log burner is so warming in the winter so feel free to cosy up and put on your favourite film on our smart TV. Just mind your head as there are some low beams around... Upstairs is our main bathroom which was another important renovation for me as I just love a bath. This was an essential item for us to squeeze into our home and I'm so pleased with how it turned out. We tried to create a tranquil place to relax with granite split tiling on the feature wall, and industrial fittings to contrast against our large wooden mirror and bath tray. We managed to retain the shower which is now over the bath in order to have the best of both worlds. All the essential toiletries are there for you to help yourself to along with a full set of towels. Our main bedroom has a large comfortable double bed ready to collapse into. There will be plenty of space in the chest of draws and cupboard for all your belongings. Our second bedroom is somewhat cosy but we hope you find it calming and somewhere relaxing to sleep. There is a standard size single day bed with a pull out trundle which we can set up and turn into a double. We will only turn this into a double if there are 2 guests staying in this room! Outside our Cottage we have a typical country cottage garden. It is on split levels so we have tried to create separate areas of the garden to enjoy. Comfy garden seating gives another space to relax in on those warm summer evenings and our wooden garden dining area can be enjoyed for Alfresco eating. Guest access You can access all areas within the main cottage. The side garage will not be open for use. Other things to note If you are celebrating a special occasion and require any special touches then let me know and we will do our best to provide what you need to make your visit extra special. If you require a travel cot for your baby please let me know in advance of your visit. If you are staying for a longer period of time and need access to a washing machine please do let me know so we can give you access.
