The »haus in spay« on the Moselle | with sauna

The "haus in spay" is a historic half-timbered house, built around 1545 in the Moselle village of Zell-Merl. It is located near the river at the foot of a sun-drenched southern slope on the Moselle, the well-known wine region with unique Riesling cultivation and Mediterranean culture. The monument ensemble with main house, the more recent vacation home and steep garden was extensively restored in 8.5 years of construction and mainly in own work according to ecological and traditional criteria. 
 The space Directly connected to the main house, the vacation home is nestled in the surrounding steep slope, lushly growing garden and the vines of the Merler vineyard. The house is designed for 2 people and includes a bedroom and a kitchen-living room as well as a small bathroom. A spacious spa with sauna and additional shower can be used on the floor above. Outside, there is a very cozy, covered veranda and a patio with sun loungers. With the experience from the main house, I renovated the vacation home for 4 years according to the highest criteria – 100% ecological, aesthetic, and high quality. A small bathroom was completely rebuilt with a green Tadelakt, a blue Stucco Veneziano perfects the tranquility in the bedroom and orange smoothed walls in the kitchen promise a vital start to the day with the morning sun. The oak kitchen with slate countertop is well equipped and allows cooking at the highest level even on vacation. All furniture is made of solid wood and the textiles are free of harmful substances. The indoor climate during the increasingly hot summer is extremely pleasant due to the protection of the main house. In addition, the covered veranda with its Mediterranean charm and good ventilation offers refuge on hot and rainy days. If you prefer it hot, you will find a sunny spot on the patio in the sloping utility and ornamental garden. For cool autumn and winter evenings, the house has a separate spa area with a large sauna and relaxation room.
 The vacation home has a fast fiber optic connection with Wi-Fi, so a stay is also excellent for use as a workation. A large smart TV and a Bluetooth sound box are provided for entertainment. Of course, I provide a selection of local wines from the organic winery Scheid and Kallfelz Riesling from the neighborhood in a trust bar. Cheers and have a pleasant stay at the "house in spay."
 Guest access There is access to the entrance area on the first floor, the living rooms (kitchen-living room, bedroom, bathroom) on the 2nd floor and the wellness area on the 3rd floor. In addition, the veranda can be used as an outdoor living room, as well as a patio in the steep garden with sun loungers.
