Bruce Peninsula National Park has its off season from November 1st to April 30th. This means that you won’t need to make a reservation ahead of time. There also aren’t any time restraints to visit for the day as there are during the busier months. Stay as long as you’d like. While you will have to share the Grotto with crowds of people during the busier summer months, this is not the case in the winter. In fact, you might have the entire place to yourself, even if you visit on a weekend! Visiting the Grotto at any age and anytime of the year is a truly amazing experience. Late spring, summer, and early fall can be very busy times at the Grotto so if you have the chance to visit during the off-season, November to April we highly recommend you do so. The Bruce Peninsula National Park is free to enter before the middle of May and after Canadian Thanksgiving in mid October, so it's cheaper and virtually empty so you feel like you have it all to yourself. There's plenty of places to hike and several spots to sit, relax, picnic, and enjoy the picturesque views.
