The space Let us tell ya 'bout the Blacksmith Bunkie - it's one of the original accommodations on the Ranch and it's got quite the history. It used to be a real working Blacksmith Shop back in the day on Manitoulin Island, but it was rescued from demolition and refurbished into one of our most unique accommodations. Our fully equipped outdoor summer kitchen features hot water on demand, propane cook stoves, and a BBQ grill, while our modern bathhouse boasts two individual washrooms, a shower, and an outdoor sink. And don't worry, we've got clean outhouses dotted throughout the ranch too! Guest access The Kicking Mule Guest Ranch, a family-owned and operated business that's been kickin' for over 25 years on Manitoulin Island! This place was founded by none other than the legendary "Miss Willie" and her partner, and it all started as a small-scale trail riding and camping experience in cozy bunkies nestled in the heart of the island's lush forests. Nowadays, the Lewis family has taken over the reins and added their own special touch, including some rootin-tootin' special events and the Hilltop Emporium, with all the modern amenities to provide top-notch "glamping" for our city-slicker friends. We take pride in welcoming guests from all corners of the globe and showing them some good old-fashioned cowboy hospitality in our little guest ranch. Other things to note For a real taste of the Wild West, take a short walk next door to the Kicking Mule Riding Stables & cookhouse and saddle up for a trail ride or wagon tour. And for all you animal lovers, you won't want to miss the free petting zoo, located right by the stables.
