Follow the paths down to the boathouse to launch your own kayaks from a private stone beach. The house is very close to Acadia National Park which provides extensive hiking trails at all levels with magnificent views. The Park's carriage trails are great for walking and mountain bikes. Local companies offer mountain biking, rock climbing and kayaking tours. You can also take a boat out of Bar Harbor to see the whales or the ferry out of Northeast Harbor to visit Cranberry Island. Quaint Northeast Harbor is a short drive away or take your boat/kayak across the harbor into town. Take a 15 to 20 minute drive to visit the various restaurants and shops in Bar Harbor. The house has wi-fi, plenty of books, and games as well. Note: The boathouse, boats and kayaks on the property are not available for renters' use. However, there are kayak rental options around the island. The fireplaces are also not functioning. Guest access This rental is for the full home. The lower level has a master bedroom with en suite bathroom, and three remaining bedrooms are upstairs.
