One bedroom in Brewers Hill, near downtown

Not your average Airbnb! Please read in full. Must love dogs. Like staying at a friend's house. The bed is a futon. One bedroom available in a lower level duplex, 1 mile from Fiserv Forum, less than 2 miles from city center. * I do NOT have air conditioning. The heat is kept at 62-65 during winter. The home is SHARED - it is not spotless, as I live here too. I also have 3 - yes, THREE! - rescue French bulldogs. They are friendly with no manners so be prepared to be loved on. The space Ideal for those looking for something cheap, brief, and homey. The available bed is a full sized futon. ** FALL 2025 ** Please note that there may be renovation work on the 2nd floor during the day. If you require a quiet space after 9am, this may not be the right place for you. My home was built in approximately 1890 and there have not been very many updates. So please don't expect brand new, fancy stuff. It's a gorgeous space, in my opinion, but it has its quirks. It is the lower level of a duplex, so minimal stairs to enter and exit. The neighborhood is residential and old, so lots of gorgeous houses if you want to go for a walk. Very nearby the Sanger Gardens. Also between two breweries - Lakefront Brewery with its famous tours and Dead Bird Brewery which offers vegan options. Both in walking distance. The yard is shared with my upstairs neighbors and primarily their space, so I cannot grant full access of this space. Thank you for understanding. Guest access You will be sharing the home with me, but you will have the bedroom to yourself. Shared spaces include: kitchen, living room, bathroom. There is laundry in the basement if that's needed. Please discuss before using. During your stay I'm easily available via messaging once we get everything situated. I live here so you'll likely see me in passing and/or meet the dogs. I prefer our communication to be through the app, if possible. I do request that all guests provide at least a brief explanation of why they are in town. I reserve the right to decline anyone who does not accommodate this request or makes me feel uncomfortable in any way. Other things to note Don't forget about the dogs! There really are 3 of them. If you have allergies to dogs OR you are afraid of dogs, this is not the space for you. We also get up at 5:30am most days so you may hear us in the morning. If you want total privacy, this is not the space for you. We will almost certainly interact at some point. If you want to be loud and party, this is not the place for you. If you want to walk around barefoot in shorts and a tank-top during winter, this is not the place for you. I also like to burn candles and incense, so if you do not like smells - you may not like this space.
