Situated on the edge of 5 acres of forest between Acadia National Park and downtown Southwest Harbor, this cozy cabin is ideal for a weekend trip or a longer stay on beautiful Mount Desert Island. Enjoy your morning coffee on porch before heading out for a hike around Long Pond, a swim at Echo Lake, or a walk into town for the weekly Farmer’s Market, shops and restaurants - all a mile or less away! End your day around the outdoor fire pit, roasting marshmallows or enjoying an evening cocktail. The space This listing is for one of two cabins on the property. The other cabin (Sleepy Deer Cabin) is a 1 bedroom cabin and is also available for rent. Magic Moose Cabin is a newly-constructed (2022) spacious cabin that has everything you and your family needs for your stay, including a fully-stocked kitchen, comfortable living room with fast WiFi and Roku-TV, and a Master Queen-sized bedroom, second bedroom with bunk-beds and enough additional space to fit a pack and play (available upon request). Outdoor space includes a fire pit, grill and space for parking. Guest access Both cabins have their own private picnic area and fire pit. Guests are welcome to explore the rest of our property, which borders with a section of Acadia National Park, but please keep in mind that we are on 5 acres of dense forest with some steep inclines. We do not recommend going beyond eyesight of the cabins if you are not well experienced with off-trail hiking.
