Situated on the outskirts of Mattishall village, Heath Cottage dates back to 1650 and has been lovingly restored and extended to offer a country escape with a hot tub for up to eight guests. The space If you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle, Heath Cottage puts you at the heart of the countryside, with plenty of local footpaths and bridleways to explore across acres of fields and farm land. Despite the feeling of being away from it all, the cottage is on the outskirts of the village of Mattishall, and you're within easy reach of some of Norfolk's most historic towns, including Dereham and Wymondham. The county town of Norwich is also just a 20-minute drive away. Inside this semi-detached cottage, you'll find plenty of room for you to all relax and enjoy your time away. There's a sitting room with a wood burning stove to keep you cosy in the cooler months, along with a separate snug and a sitting area in the kitchen too. Two of the bedrooms have zip and link beds that can be converted to twin beds if required. Despite being thoroughly and tastefully renovated, the property has retained many of its period charms, including its wooden beams. The delightful, enclosed garden is accessible from bifold doors in the kitchen. On a sunny day, there's nothing better than to open the doors fully and enjoy life al fresco on the terrace, complete with hot tub and table tennis, surrounded by the birdsong. The owner has an annexe that adjoins Heath Cottage. Guest access Ground Floor: Hallway Spacious hallway with wooden floor, beams, an armchair and stairs to first floor. Open-plan kitchen/dining room/sofa room Kitchen area With a large range cooker and oven, microwave, two fridge freezers, a wine fridge, a dishwasher and breakfast bar seating four guests. Dining area With a dining table seating eight guests. Two steps up to the sofa room area. Sofa room With generous seating, a television with Freeview and bi-folding doors out to the terrace and hot tub. Utility room With a washing machine and tumble dryer. Separate sitting room and snug A snug with armchair and bookshelf is divided by beams into the sitting room with a wood burning stove and a television with Freeview. Family bathroom With a feature free-standing bath and separate shower, twin wash basins and WC. First Floor: Bedroom one With a 5' king-size bed and television with Freeview. Bedroom two With a 6' super-king size zip and link bed (can be separated to twin 3' beds on request). Bedroom three With a 4'6 double bed. Bedroom four With a 5' king-size zip and link bed which can be separated to twin 2'6 singles beds on request. Family bathroom With a free-standing slipper bath, large separate shower, wash basin and WC. Outside: Large, enclosed rear garden.
