Drive six miles north for a day of swimming and picnicking at Swan Lake State Park, or head six miles south to charming downtown Belfast with its excellent restaurants, cafes, and antique shops on the shores of Penobscot Bay. Take memorable day trips to Camden (25 miles) and Acadia National Park (52 miles), and swing by Young's Lobster Pound for dinner on your way home. Begin and end each day in the tranquil outdoor spaces, listening to the songs of nesting birds in the trees. In the mornings, bring your first cup of coffee outside to the large, elevated deck; in the evenings, gather to roast marshmallows and tell stories around the firepit. Built in 1987 and thoughtfully remodeled in recent years, this charming cottage is full of natural light, pine floors, and lofty, open spaces. Enjoy a breezy living room and kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a home office where you can log onto the complimentary WiFi in peace, and a private washer/dryer for your laundry needs. There's one bedroom on each of the two floors, both with high-end (Tempur-Pedic and Casper) mattresses. THINGS TO KNOW No dog(s) are welcome in this home. No other animals are allowed without specific Vacasa approval. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles. Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program.
