"Satie's Place" is an off-grid cabin deep in the woods on the Penobscot River. The one room cabin is designed with many of the comforts of home yet simple and cozy; equipped with a gas stove, refrigerator, and a fully-stocked kitchen. If you are looking for a place to unplug and get away from it all, this is the place for you to stay. Gaze at the night sky while relaxing around the fire. Spectacular views from sunrise to sunset. Wildlife abounds and amazing fishing just feet from your door. The one room cabin is thoughtfully designed to provide all the basics so you can relax and enjoy your time. There is an outdoor shower with an on-demand hot water system and a porta potty that is serviced weekly. The portable toilet is located near the location of the cabin and is just a short walk from your door. The cabin has a queen size bed with a pull-out couch that opens into a twin size bed. There is an additional cot available as well. If additional space is needed, you may also bring a tent and sleeping items and set-up near the cabin. The cabin is stocked with a propane refrigerator, propane stove with oven, sink with water for washing dishes, pots, pans, dishes, glassware, utensil, and other basic kitchen items. There is a 5 gallon water container provided for drinking water. Water for washing dishes and showering is also available. The cabin has two battery lanterns which are very bright and back-up batteries are included. Please bring water shoes as the river bed is quite rocky, extra flashlights, and lots of bug spray. The cabin has a few extra blankets but feel free to bring your own sleeping bags especially if you are going to tent camp. The property is 68 acres of woods shared by the hosts. Satie's Place is located down a gravel driveway through the woods adjacent to the Penobscot River. The location of the cabin is private and offers a quiet, peaceful stay. The driveway leading to the cabin is approximately .5 mile long from the main road. There is plenty of room to park your vehicle near the cabin.
